September Favorites 2016 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so I do apologize for posting this late! If you read my September Haul (click here), then you know that I went to IMATS Toronto and all. I was busy that whole weekend and that's why I'm a little behind with my schedule! I also had a lot more clients in September, so I haven't really had the chance to sit down and write up these posts. However, I hope you guys still enjoy reading this post! I stuck to my main products that I been using for the past several months. I tried to incorporate new products into my makeup routine. Some worked out and some didn't!

Some of my September Favorites!

I have 2 Wet n Wild products that I been loving this month! The first product is their Megaglo Illumination Palette in Catwalk Pink. This is such an inexpensive stunning highlighter! You get 4 stripes of different shades! You have a pale gold, light pink, rosey pink and gold champagne! You can wear each shade individually or mix them together for a custom shade! It really depends on your preference! I personally love the pale gold and gold champagne shades! They just go so well with my skin tone! The light pink isn't really my thing, but it would look stunning on someone with pink undertones to their skin! The rosey pink shade is more of a blush topper in my opinion! I personally don't like to wear it as a highlighter! The formula is really nice! They're smooth and pigmented. They're also long wearing! They blend really easily! They also give you the option of wearing them bold or sheer. The finish is shimmery. These are packed with glitter, but as mentioned you can sheer it out, so that it's more subtle. This isn't my all time favorite highlighter, but it's a nice change, especially because I don't really own any drugstore highlighters. It's perfect for those of you on a budget. Next, I been obsessing over the Coloricon Blush in 327B Apri-Cot in the Middle. This is a stunning peachy apricot shade! It's super smooth and pigmented! It's packed with a ton  of gold glitter, so if you don't like a glittery blush, then you're not going to like this product. It's also super long wearing and it blends like a dream! It just adds the perfect amount of warmth to your cheeks!

I love these products!

Moving along, I've been obsessed with the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation! You guys know that the Pro Matte is my all time favorite foundation, so I had high expectations for this foundation! This is just a beautiful radiant foundation. It leaves a nice dewy look! It's medium coverage and super lightweight on the skin! It's also super long wearing! It's exactly like the Pro Matte, but obviously this one gives you a glow! I got mine in the shade Sun Beige, which is a bit darker than the Sun Beige that's in the Pro Matte line. It doesn't bother me, since I still have my tan, but it's just so you guys know that the shades are a bit different! If I had a Top 5 Favorite Foundations, this would definitely be in it! I'm so obsessed!

This is definitely going to be a part of my Holy Grail!

I also been loving the Smashbox Master Class Palette: Lightning Theory. I normally don't buy these kind of palettes anymore, since I have a ton of makeup, but I was really drawn to this palette! First of all, this is one of the only palettes that comes with correctors! You guys know that correctors have been big this year, so it was nice to see Smashbox incorporating them into their palette! I also really liked the eyeshadow shade range! There's both cool and warm tones! They're all wearable colors for a everyday look or a evening glam! You also have a bronzer (cream), contour shade (cream), highlighters (cream) and blushes (powder). All the cream products are super rich and creamy! They're super pigmented and blend like a dream! It's the same thing with the powder products, they're super pigmented and blendable! They're also long wearing! My only complaint is that I wish the bronzer, contour and highlighters were powder, so that I don't need to find my powder shades to set them with! Other than that, it's really nicely thought out! It's worth every penny! I been wanting to do a full review on this palette! Hopefully, I can get that up soon!

I've been obsessed with this palette!

I also been obsessing over the Clionadh Cosmetics Highlighters in Llyr, Slaine and Clionadh Dark. I wrote a full review on them, so check it out here. I feel like I spoke about them enough, but they're honestly just so amazing! The formula is just wow! They're super pigmented, blendable and long wearing! They're so easy to work with! The shade range is just absolutely beautiful! Like, I just can't get enough of them! I been getting great use out of Clionadh Dark! It's a marble highlighter, so you can achieve a different shade each use! It just really depends where you dip and mix your brush into! When you read the review, you'll see how versatile they really are and how there's variations for different skin tones!

Aren't these swatches everything?!

Lastly, I been going back to an old  favorite, which is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer! I'm in the shade 25 medium, which is the perfect highlighting shade for people with medium skin! I would say this concealer is the dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer! It's just as creamy and pigmented! This stuff is medium coverage, but you can definitely build it up or sheer it out! It's also super long wearing! This stuff doesn't cake at all and it feels light on your skin! I also love the doe foot applicator, it makes highlighting efficient! If you're on a search for a good and inexpensive concealer, I definitely recommend this one! It's worth every penny!

My favorite drugstore concealer!

That's it for my September Favorites! As you guys saw, there was a few new products! I'll try my best to switch up my products this month, but honestly October has just been so crazy! I just find time goes by so fast! Like, I wish I could create more looks for your guys! But ya, stay tuned for my review on the Mikasa Beauty Brushes! That should be up sometime next week! After that, it's my IMATS Haul and Experience!

September Haul 2016 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so I'm a little late, but here's my September haul! I just been so packed with things that I haven't had the time  to get this up! So, September I tried my best to be "good". It's fairly a small haul, because I did go to IMATS Toronto. I just been saving up for that, so I tried not to buy that much. I'll be posting my IMATS Haul and Experience soon, so look out for that! For now, let's just get into this haul!

September Haul!

I shop at Sephora like every month, so I got a few goodies from there! I picked up the Sephora Favorites Extravagant Eyes! Now, a lot of the holiday collections are already available at Sephora! This kit is one of them! From all the kits, I find this one you really get your moneys worth! It comes with 4 full size products and 4 deluxe size products! The deluxe size products are actually pretty big! This kit comes with the Huda Beauty lashes in Samantha (full size), Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Plum (full size), Marc Jacobs O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara (deluxe size), Milk Makeup Eye Pigment in Silent Disco (deluxe size), Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia (full size), Sephora Waterproof Contour Eye Pencil 12 HR Wear in Black Lace (deluxe size), Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer (deluxe size) and Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Midnight Cowboy (full size). You get all this for just $50CAD! It's actually insane and so inexpensive! Normally the Huda Beauty lashes are $24 and the Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadow is $36 , so those 2 products on their own is over $50! That's why this set is a complete steal! I already showed this kit in action to my Snapchat Fam, so I'm debating to do a review on this! If you want me to review it, let me know down below in the comments area!

One of my favorite purchases of the month!

I also purchased the Pat Mcgrath Labs Lust 004 Everything Kit. I mean I been dying to get this! It's been all over Instagram and every blogger has been talking about it! It's definitely a unique lip kit! There's no other brand that has anything similar to this! I truly admire Pat Mcgrath's artistry, so I just had to pick up everything! The Lust 004 Everything Kit comes with 6 lipsticks: Flesh 1, Flesh 2, Venom 1, Venom 2, Blood 1 and Blood 2. It also comes with the Clear Vinyl Gloss, Metallic Gold Pigment and 3 Microfine Glitters (Flesh, Venom and Blood). So, if you really break it down, you do get a lot for your money!  I do think it's a pretty good value, but I mean this kit is really not necessary for everyone! I find this kit is more for people or artists that want to do editorial makeup or just different looks for their portfolio. Like, I personally love the whole concept of it! It's very different, but I don't see myself wearing a glitter lip on the daily bases! However, the lipsticks are a really good formula! I'm really impressed with them and it's definitely one of the best formulas in the market! They're buttery smooth, pigmented and long wearing! I highly recommend that you look into that! You can purchase them individually!

Talk about beautiful!!!

Next, I purchased the Sephora Colorful Duo Reflects in Sea Horse. Sephora added a lot of products recently to their sales section! So, I was browsing through that and came across their Colorful Duo Reflects. They're only $7CAD, so I was like why not give one of the shades a go? Sea Horse is a beautiful medium purple with fine shimmer to it. It's not really a duochrome, it just has a black base to it and a nice sheen. The finish is shimmery. I haven't put this on my lid yet, but the swatch was very dry. So, we'll see how it goes! Sephora doesn't have Sea Horse available anymore, but a few other shades are still left!

I hope this works out!

I also purchased a few things from The Bay online. MAC came out with their Star Trek Collection earlier in September, so I wanted to pick up a few things. Chrisspy actually made videos with MAC for this collection! Her looks are honestly so amazing! I swear Chrisspy's creativity is just on a whole new level! She just inspires me to be different. If you're looking for Halloween looks, check out her Youtube channel! She has so many looks! Moving along to the MAC stuff, I purchased 2 lipsticks from the collection! I picked up the shade Where No Man Has Gone Before (light-medium pink with gold reflects), which is a lustre lipstick and LLAP (rosey champagne), which is a frost lipstick. I haven't had the chance to play with these, but the swatches are so nice! They're not your everyday kind of lipsticks, which is good, because it forces me to be creative! Lastly, I picked up the Trip The Light Fantastic Powder in Highly Illogical. I mean look at the embossing on this! It's so different and stunning! This was just an impulsive buy. I'm not sure what these powders are meant for to be honest, but it says that they're supposed to add a sheer luminosity to your skin. So, I'm guessing they're highlighters! Highly Illogical is medium warm coppery brown with a satin finish. I haven't used this powder yet, but it does swatch a bit darker than I anticipated, so we'll see how it goes. If not, it would make a gorgeous blush topper!

Can't wait to play with these!

That's it for my purchases. I received a PR package from Clionadh Cosmetics. They're a new cosmetics brand that sell highlighters! They sent me 3 of their highlighters from their Deity Series called Llyr, Slaine and Clionadh "Dark". I'm not going to get too much into it, but I already reviewed their highlighters on my blog, click here. They're formulated so well! They're definitely one of my favorite highlighters!

Thank you Clionadh Cosmetics!

That concludes this haul! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post! I have my September Favorites that'll be up sometime this week! After that I'll be posting my Mikasa Beauty review and my IMATS Haul & Experience! I hope my Canadian viewers had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend!

Clionadh Cosmetics: Highlighters Review

Hey guys, I'll be reviewing yet another new Instagram Indie brand! They're called Clionadh Cosmetics! This Canadian brand is owned by Maggie and Leigh Cavanaugh. They sell a large variety of highlighters! They do everything themselves, such as creating the product, design, photography and much more! They launched their brand at the end of August, so they're still fairly new! However, I'm just so impressed with how well this brand has developed and progressed!  You guys are going to see in this review that their products are just so unique and different! Like guys, they have such stunning highlighter shades! There's something for every skin tone! If you follow me on Instagram (@divyapatel_mua), then you already saw the swatches! They have one of the best formulas in the market!

Clionadh Cosmetics!

Starting off with the packaging! The package that I received was really nicely presented. It was just so colorful with unique patterns on them! The patterns are different for each highlighter! They come in pans, so you'll need a Z Palette or something to store them in! The pans are huge! They're 42mm and come with 6g (except for a few of their one-offs)! It's a really nice amount! They can retail anywhere from $16 to $23CAD depending on the highlighter that you pick! They also have bundles, which is a great way to save! You can purchase their highlighters only on their website here. All their products are vegan and cruelty-free! Most of the highlighters are multi-purpose, so you could use them on your eyes, face and lips (please check their website to see the few exceptions)! They also ship worldwide!

How cute is the packaging?!

Let's talk about the shade range! So, the embossing is different for each highlighter! They cater towards multiple skin tones by creating variations. I'll elaborate on this when I break down the shades that I received! They have the "Deity Series", which is their official line (all the highlighters that I got sent are a part of this line)! There's a mixture of one tone and marble shades! Some shades like "Llyr" come with two different colors, so it gives you 3 different ways to wear them. The Deity Series is definitely very unique with a ton of choices! They also have "One-Offs", which are limited edition! So, this section always has new and different shades, because these highlighters are made from extra leftover pigments! That's why they're always different and so limited! So, if you see something that you like in this section, you may want to purchase it ASAP! Lastly, they have the custom section. Now, this is definitely a genius idea! They let you customize your own shade! How cool is that?! You have a choice between one tone, striped, quad or marble highlighters. You also pick your desired shade! You can pick up to 5 shades per custom highlighter! So, if you don't find anything in the Deity Series or the One-Offs, you can just custom your own shade! This gives you the chance to recreate the shade of any limited edition highlighter that you been dying to get! If you think that's amazing, just wait until we get to the formula section!

How stunning are these shades!

The formula you guys, I just can't! They're so well formulated! They're SUPER pigmented and buttery smooth! They just feel so creamy on your skin! The texture is better than most high end brands out there! They also blend like a dream! If they're too intense for your preference,  you can easily sheer them out! You can also easily build them up! They don't emphasize any pores! They also wear for a good 10-12 hours! The finish varies depending on which shade you choose! Some shades are more on the satin side, while others have shimmer with a metallic finish! You can use any brush to apply these highlighters! I personally use a synthetic fan brush! Here are the shades that I received:

Swatches of all 3 shades!

1)Llyr: This shade is a split pan, so it comes with 2 shades. Half of it is a pink toned purple with a violet iridescent and the other half is a light blue silver with micro shimmer! It gives you the choice of wearing each shade individually or mixing them together! You also have control over making your highlight appear more purple or blue, it really just depends on your preference! That's what I love about these! You're paying to basically get 2 highlighters! Llyr is definitely a unique shade! It gives you a break from gold and champagne highlighters! It's the perfect shade to help you step out of your comfort zone! The finish is between a metallic and a satin! The purple tone is definitely a soft metallic, whereas the blue tone is packed with shimmer with that same soft metallic finish! This highlighter works well with any skin tone!

Llyr

Here is Llyr on my skin tone! I sheered it out for my preference! It's definitely a unique statement color!

2)Slaine: This is a stunning rose base with reflective gold! This duochrome shade has a strong shimmery metallic finish! This is just a one tone shade, but it's definitely suitable for all skin tones! You can easily sheer out this shade or build it up! This is more of a night time highlighter, but you can actually wear it with any makeup look! I've used this on my eyes and it's absolutely stunning! If you love gold or rosey highlighters, Slaine is a must have!
Slaine

What Slaine looks like on! It's packed with a lot more shimmer! I love the rose base to this shade!

3)Clionadh "Dark": This is the shade that I wore the most! This shade is a marble, so it has a mixture of bronze, magenta and accents of fuchsia! The cool thing about this marble shade is that even though it looks like it's a deep bronze, it has a few lighter areas,so that you can lighten up this shade! When I looked at this shade, I automatically thought that it would be too dark! Once I put it on, it blew my mind! It just looked so stunning and complimented my skin! It didn't look dark at all! So, it's really cool how Clionadh Dark can still look beautiful on light or medium skin! It just depends where you dip your brush! This is how they cater towards so many skin tones; each pan has variations for different skin tones, which is such an amazing idea! When I swirl my brush into all the areas, it's a gorgeous medium bronzey champagne shade! It's actually so gorgeous and unique!
Clionadh Dark

What Clionadh Dark looks on me! As mentioned, it really depends where you dip your brush! I mainly focused it on the lighter areas for this look! I'm beyond obsessed with this shade!

Overall, I highly recommend these! I love all these 3 shades and can't wait to try their other shades! They're honestly amazing and you get your moneys worth! This brand just gives you so many options between shades and finishes that you just can't go wrong! I actually bought a Z Palette just to collect all their shades! It'll be great for my kit! Trust me when I say that these are a must have! They just launched their Fall collection, so go check it out! Their Instagram is @clionadhcosmetics and their Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/clionadhcosmetics/. They also created a shade for Breast Cancer Awareness this month called Blushed! They'll be donating 50% of the proceeds to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation! I just love it when brands do amazing things like that! It's the little gestures that matter! I'm just so obsessed with this brand, like I have nothing but positive things to say about them! So, that concludes this review!  Has anyone purchased these highlighters? What are your thoughts on them?

Too Faced: Lip Injection Glossy in Spice Girl Review

Hey guys! If you read my August Haul, then you already know that I was planning on reviewing the new Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy! A lot of people have been talking about this product and I just had to give it a go! Too Faced released 6 different shades! I got mine in the shade Spice Girl. So ya, let's just jump into this review!

The Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Spice Girl!

Let's start off with the packaging. The packaging is just so stunning that you don't even want to throw away the box! It comes in a gold box. The front of the box has the same shade corresponding to the lip gloss shade, which I just found smart! It'll be easier to spot it in your collection!  The packaging of the lip gloss itself is also stunning! The top part is a stunning medium toned gold with  metallic gold detailing to it! It's super cute! It just has a lace like pattern with bows! The bottom is clear, so that you can see your shade. It's really sturdy! It comes with a really nice applicator! This lip gloss comes with 4g of product, which is a really nice amount! It retails for  $29CAD. It's a bit pricey, but you'll be the one to judge after this review! You can find this at Sephora or any Too Faced retailers! It's also available on the Too Faced website of course!

Too Faced packaging is always on point!

Another look at the packaging!

As mentioned, I purchased the shade Spice GirlSpice Girl is a beautiful medium pinky/peachy nude. If you have medium to tan skin, then this is your perfect nude! It's that "everyday" kind of color! If you have lighter or darker skin, this will still suit you really nicely! Like, you can't go wrong with this shade! This gloss is very glossy and it has very fine specks of shimmer that you can barely see!

Here's a swatch of Spice Girl

So, let's talk about this product. This is a really unique product. It's a plumping lip gloss! That means that it's supposed to plump your lips and create that illusion that you got a lip injection. It's definitely something that's different and since lip injections are so big now, everyone just wants bigger lips. At first, I was like how can that possibly happen with a lip gloss? Too Faced legit made it happen! This stuff actually works! After a few minutes that you apply this lip gloss, you start to see your lips getting plumped! They just look fuller! They're not going to be huge, but you do see a little difference. It just looks natural, which I really like! This lip gloss is also very hydrating on the lips! It also glides on like butter! The lip gloss itself has a nice color pay off! It's not too opaque, so it's perfect topper for your lipstick! You can even just wear this alone! It wears for a good 3 hours if you don't eat or drink, which isn't bad. The finish is ultra glossy and it just adds a really nice sheen to your lips! The results are nice, but I just can't stand the burning effect! When you apply this lip gloss, seconds later, you start to feel this burn on your lips. If you have sensitive lips, this product is definitely not for you! I don't have sensitive lips, but it's definitely not something that I would wear everyday. The burn is very uncomfortable and it takes awhile for it to go away!  Minus the burning, this lip gloss is really well formulated!

Here's a before picture

Here's the after picture! You see a bit of a difference!

I'm wearing just the gloss on my lips! It's a really nice shade!

With that being said, I do recommend it to those of you that can put up with the burn. The results are really nice! However, if you can't deal with any kind of pain or burn, then it may be best if you don't try it! As for my personal preference, I won't be repurchasing this, because I just find it uncomfortable. If Too Faced finds a way to make them not burn, then I'll definitely pick up all of them! So ya, that's my opinion! What are your thoughts on it? Have you guys been loving these?

Kat Von D: Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette Review

Wow, Kat Von D has been on fire with all these new releases! I've always been a fan of her. I admire her creativity and artistry. Some of my favorite products are from her brand (The Lock It Foundation and the Shade+Light Palette). I've been eyeing her new concealers, but I decided to purchase her new Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette first. I mean look at this palette and the shades! This shade range is just so stunning! I been wanting to just branch out and do more colorful looks, so I thought this palette would be perfect! I figured I'd also just do a review on it while I'm at it! So ya, let's get into it!

The Kat Von D Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette!

Let's begin with the packaging. I mean this packaging is so Kat Von D! It has that Gothic theme to it, just like most of her packaging! The detailing is really nice on this palette! It's very and I mean very sturdy! It comes in this rectangular form. It's not the most ideal palette to travel with, because it's kind of big. Inside, it comes with a decent size mirror. This palette has 8 bold shades and 1 pigment. Each eyeshadow comes with 1.1g of product and the pigment comes with 1.5g of product. It's fairly a good amount! This palette retails for $57CAD and you can buy it live at Sephora! It's limited edition, so now is the chance to get it!

Another look at this palette!

Let's talk about the shade range. So, these are some really bold colors! It's definitely not your everyday palette, but it's perfect for those of you that want to add color to your collection! I normally don't gravitate towards these kind of palettes, but I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone, so I was like why not? I also find that these shades are definitely wearable! You can easily pop them on the lid or the lower lash line! You're just going to need to use a basic neutral eyeshadow palette, since this palette has no neutral shades whatsoever! Other that that, the shades are absolutely stunning! I haven't seen a shade range like this before!

Look at these shades!

The formula is different for each shade, so I'll break them down. Some of these shades have a really nice formula, but others I'm not the biggest fan of! Starting left to right:

1)Bloodmilk: This shade is a medium-dark matte red with slightly warm undertones. It's pigmented, but it feels dry. It's not as smooth as I would like it to be. Even the swatch is kind of patchy. However, the shade itself is stunning and I love to use it in the crease. I find it blends somewhat ok. I find myself working with it a lot more than most matte shades, so make sure you have a good blending brush! There's no fallout to it, which is always a good thing! It's long wearing! I wore it for 6 hours and it didn't fade away at all! Overall, this shade is stunning, but the formula isn't the best! So, be cautious when you use it!

2)Medusa: This is a metallic medium-dark antique gold with a metallic finish. This shade is buttery smooth and super pigmented! Unlike some of the other shades, it's a lot more firm, so it doesn't crumble in the pan when you dip your brush into it! It has very minimal fallout to it. It blends really nicely! I love to use this shade all over the lid! It's definitely a lot more wearable than the other shades! It's also super long wearing! I've wore this for about 8 hours and it didn't fade away at all! This shade definitely has the best formula in this palette!

3)Ankh: This shade is a matte blackened brown with gold/bronze micro shimmer. This shade is stunning, but it's super dry! It's a lot harder to work with. I have to spray MAC Fix Plus on my brush to get the coverage that I want. It's not as opaque as it looks in the pan! It's also harder to blend out this shade! It has no fallout, which is the only positive thing about it! This in my opinion is the worst shade in this palette! It's stunning, but the formula is a complete "no no"!

4)Queen: This shade is a medium-dark purple burgundy with a pearly finish. This shade is buttery smooth and super pigmented! It's a bit more delicate, so it does crumble in the pan when you dip your brush into it! However, the fallout is minimal! This shade also blends really nicely and it's a lot easier to work with! It's also long wearing! This is such a beautiful shade for fall! It's definitely one of my favorite shades in this palette!

5)Hieroglyph: This shade is a medium orange-copper with a metallic finish. This is definitely bold and bright! It's a really nice shade for the lid or even on the bottom lash line! This shade is also delicate, so it does crumble in the pan, however it's very pigmented! It's also really smooth, so it blends out really nicely! This shade wears for 8 hours and then starts to fade away slowly!

6)Nile: This shade is a medium cobalt blue with a pearly finish. This shade is beyond opaque! A little goes a long way! It's not as delicate as Hieroglyph, but it's not as firm as Medusa either. It legit falls in between. This shade has minimal fallout and it blends really nicely! I've wore this for 8 hours and it didn't fade away at all! I'm really impressed with this shade! It's definitely one of the better formulas in this palette!

7)Scarab: This shade is a medium cool toned green with a metallic finish. This is also super opaque and bold! It's super smooth and pigmented! It's texture is the same as NileIt's a bit delicate. It has minimal fallout! It also blends nicely! I've wore this for 6 hours and it doesn't fade away at all!

8)Venom: This shade is a medium-dark purple with a matte finish. It's also very dry and the swatch was patchy. It's pigmented, but it doesn't blend that nicely! You have to take the time to work with it, especially if you decide to pop it in the crease! However, it's long wearing and there's very minimal fallout to it!

Here are the swatches of all the shades!

I used all the eyeshadows from this palette for this eye makeup!
Another look at this eye makeup!

Lastly, the palette came with a pigment called Prophet. It's a medium-dark green gold with a metallic finish. It's finely mild and super pigmented! You can apply this wet or dry! When I apply it dry, I do like to use a glitter glue to avoid any fallout! This is a really nice bold pigment! I've used it a few times in the inner corners of my eyes and it legit just makes everything pop! It's also very long wearing! You can get multiple uses out of this pigment, which is why I really like it!

Prophet

Here's a swatch of Prophet

Overall, this isn't my favorite palette, but it's not horrible either. I just expected better, especially since Kat Von D products are normally always good! I was really surprised with the matte shades! They're definitely not her usual formula! With all this being said, do I recommend it? Sadly, I don't. This palette is unique, but the shades aren't that unique. You may not find all the shades in one palette, but they definitely already do exist in the market! There's also eyeshadows that are formulated a lot better than these ones, so you can definitely pass on this. However, if you really want to get it, then go for it! You can definitely make this palette work, it just requires more time due to the poor formulation! So, that's it for this review! I'm trying my best to get the other reviews up! I hope you guys have a great week!

Guerlain: Terracotta Terra Magnifica Bronzing Powder-Contrast Highlighter Review

Hey guys, so today's review is going to be on the new Guerlain Terracotta Terra Magnifica Bronzing Powder-Contrast Highlighter. I know this is a pricey product, but I figured I'd review it anyways, since there's not that many reviews on it. Now, I've heard a lot of people rave about the regular Guerlain bronzers, so I had high expectations for this bronzer! I just been loving those bronzey looks lately, so I really wanted to just pick up a new bronzer! So ya, let's just get into the review!

Look at this new Guerlain bronzer!

Starting off with the packaging, it's absolutely stunning! It's also very unique, because it comes in this container with a twist off lid. I never seen a bronzer with this kind of packaging, so it's definitely going to stand out in my collection! Inside, you have the product and a mirror on the lid! It's a pretty big container, so the mirror is a really nice size and it's super clear! The cool thing about this is that you can remove the product from the container, so that you can use the container for storage! Like, once you're done with this product, just throw out the pan and sponge. It's a really chic container for your vanity! The embossing is SO stunning! There's just so much detailing going on! So, the concept of this product is that it's mostly a bronzer, but you have the center circle that comes with a satin highlighter. The whole product has a gold overspray. I'm not a fan of overspray, so when I received this product, I just dusted it off. It's definitely cute for decoration, but I just don't like it in my bronzer! This comes with 19g of product and it retails for $76CAD. You can buy it at Sephora or any retailers that sell Guerlain! This stuff is limited edition, so you might want to get it soon before it sells out!

The packaging is really stunning!

Such unique packaging!

I just can't get over how beautiful this is!

Let's talk about the shade. On Sephora, it said that the shade of this bronzer is 03, which is the best selling Terracotta shade! In the pan it looks like a really nice medium brown, however, it swatches more of a orangey brown on my skin tone (I fall in between medium to tan skin with reddish undertones). It definitely didn't look like the color that I  anticipated, but it's still stunning! I find when you swatch a bronzer, you never get the color that you anticipate, but once you apply it, it's really nice! So, when I applied it to my skin, it didn't appear too orange and it just looked like a stunning warm bronzer. It definitely warmed up my face and it looked really natural! If you have light to medium skin, this shade will definitely work really well for you. However, if you have tan to dark skin, it may be too light for you! You can always build up the color, but since it's an expensive bronzer, I recommend that you purchase from their original Terracotta bronzer line, so that you get your moneys worth! The bronzer is nice, but the highlight could have been better. The highlighter is more of a beige with a satin finish to it. I wouldn't necessarily set my under eyes with this highter. It' more for the high points of your cheek bones! If you have light skin, you can even mix the 2 shades to lighten up the bronzer! The highlight shade can be useful, it's just not what I typically like to go for!

A close up!

Here are the swatches on my medium skin! The bronzer doesn't swatch properly, but once you apply it on your face, it's really nice!

This is how the bronzer looks on my skin! It legit blends in so effortlessly! It's just so natural!

Moving onto the formula! I mean the powder is silky smooth! It's also pigmented and it blends like a dream! Like, this stuff honestly melts into your skin, so it just gives you such a natural bronzey effect! It's super easy to work with! You can use any natural hair fluffy brush and it'll get the work done! It's also super long wearing! I can go a full day with this product on and it won't budge! The bronzer is also more of a demi matte. It's almost matte, but not exactly! I really like that, because again it adds a subtle sheen to your skin that just makes it even more natural! I find especially for the summer, the skin just looks so much better when there's a sheen going on! The highlighter is also the same exact formula! The only difference is that the highlighter is more on the satin side! It's also pigmented, blendable and long wearing! The highlighter doesn't emphasize any pores or anything! Overall, this product has a really nice formula!

One last look at this gem!

With all that being said, I'm absolutely obsessed with this bronzer! It's a really nice product that can work for multiple skin tones! If you happen to go see it in person, then be sure to apply it on your face if you can, because the swatch isn't the best! It's just so beautiful once you put it on! I know it's a very expensive product, but it'll last you forever, so it's worth the investment! I'm telling you the formula honestly wins me over! It makes me want to try more Guerlain products! That's it for this review, let me know your thoughts on this product and if you plan on getting it!

August Favorites 2016 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so as promised here is my August Favorites! I'll be honest this month I haven't had the time to play with all my new makeup, so I just been loving a lot of the same products that I mentioned in my previous Favorites! So ya, this month I won't be mentioning too many products, so feel free to check out my previous few Favorites posts!

What do you think of the pink background? I just needed a change!

I'm going to start off with 2 skincare products that I been using all month! The first product is the Nivea Body Milk. I mean why haven't I purchased this before?! This stuff is beyond nourishing on the skin! It just makes my skin look so healthy! It even leaves this natural sheen to the skin that I really like! It honestly keeps my skin hydrated all day! I got the Dry to Very Dry Skin, because I do have a lot of dry areas on my body. It's honestly just beyond hydrating! If you have dry skin, you NEED this in your life! Next, I been loving the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. This mask is just beyond amazing for your pores! I took it with me to Florida and I forgot how much I actually love this product! It's main ingredient is charcoal, so it really deep cleans your pores! It just gets rid of all the impurities and leaves your skin feeling healthy! If you need a effective mask for your pores, I highly recommend this mask!

I love both these products!

I also been loving the Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Primer. I've had this for a few years and I don't use it as often, since this stuff is pricey. However, I took it with me to Florida since I knew I was going to do a full face and you know the heat in Florida! My makeup honestly didn't budge. One of the reasons is definitely this primer! I like to apply this around my nose area and forehead (the areas that I get oily the fastest) before I apply my foundation. It just helps my makeup stay matte in those areas! Then, I keep this stuff on me for instant touch ups! I don't need a lot of touch ups, but days that I have my makeup on all day, I do sometimes get a bit shinny in my oily areas. I just dispense this product onto my fingers and dab the product onto the oily areas. It instantly just mattifies my makeup! It's that easy! I don't need to carry a brush with me for this stuff, I just use my fingers! This primer is worth the splurge!

The best matte primer I've ever used!

I've still been obsessing over my Glow Kits and all, but I also been loving this highlighter! This is The Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Oh, Darling by MAC. I mean I was obsessed with this when it first came out and I gave it a long break. I brought it with me on vacation and I just started using it non stop after that! Oh, Darling is a beautiful true gold! It just looks so nice with bronzey makeup! The formula is also really nice! It's super long wearing and pigmented! It blends like a dream ! The texture of it is really nice. It feels like those gel based powders! I saw on Instagram that MAC will be releasing new shades in this formula, so I can't wait to get my hands on them! Oh, Darling was unfortunately limited edition, but try to get your hands on the new highlighters that MAC will be releasing soon!

One of my all time favorite highlighters!

I also wanted to mention the Mikasa Beauty brushes! I kind of gave you guys a brief story between my affiliation with Mikasa Beauty, so check out my "August Haul" here. I mean these brushes are just wow! They're super similar to MAC brushes, but they're a lot more affordable! You can purchase the 8 brush set or each brush individually! They even have a set with just face brushes and just eye brushes! It's worth every penny guys! There's no shedding and they're super soft! I'll be reviewing these soon! However, if you're tempted to buy them now, then don't forget to use the coupon code "MUBYDIVYA15" to get 15% off your complete order!

I been loving these brushes!

Moving right along, I wanted to mention MAC's lip liner in Stripdown. This is my all time favorite lip liner! It's the perfect warm medium nude! I love to use this under nude lipsticks and I also just love to wear it on it's own! I love MAC lip liners, they're one of the best lip liners I've ever used! If you have medium to tan skin, honestly you need Stripdown! I know it may not sound like it's all that, but when you try it on you'll see what I mean! I feel like I already spoke about this lip liner in one of my Favorites, but I've used this lip liner so much this month that I decided to talk about it anyways!

Stripdown by Mac!

Next, I been obsessing over ColourPop's Ultra Metallic Lip in Salt. Salt is a cool toned taupe. It actually appears rose gold on my lips and I just been loving rose gold lately! I was really hesitant with these metallic liquid lipsticks, but they just look so stunning! I been pairing this metallic lip with neutral eye makeup and I just been getting so many compliments! The formula is also really nice! It's a moussey texture and it feels really comfortable on the lips! Once it's dry this stuff doesn't budge! Also, if you don't eat or drink, this stuff will last you a good 5 hours without fading away! If you read my "August Haul" post, then you know I picked up 3 other shades! Let me know if you guys want me to do a full in depth review on this product!

This is what Salt looks like on!

Lastly, I just wanted to mention 2 bronzers that I've been loving this month! I just love that bronzey look! I've been obsessed with the Guerlain Terracotta Terra Magnifica Bronzing Powder. Yes, this bronzer is super expensive, but it's worth every penny! Like, this powder is so smooth and it blends like a dream! It just bronzes your skin perfectly and it looks so natural! I've used the highlight part and it's ok, it's definitely not my favorite, but the bronzer part makes up for it! I also love the color of this bronzer, it's not too orange. I'm currently writing a full review on this product, so stay tuned for that! The last product that I'll be mentioning is the MAC Extra Dimension Bronzer in Delphic. You guys are going to kill me, but this stuff was limited edition. It was a part of this collection that came out 2 years ago I believe, but I thought that MAC carried this shade and formula. I went through their site and I couldn't find it, which is weird, because the Extra Dimension formula is their best formula (in my opinion)! Like, I just love the Extra Dimension formula, because it's just so easy to work with! The results are also more natural, which is something that I like! It doesn't appear cakey or powdery!  It's like a smooth gel based formula! It's pigmented, but blends like a dream! It's also super long wearing! I love this bronzer for the formula and also the shade. Delphic is a brick tan shade with warm undertones. It also has a little bit of shimmer to it. I love that brick shade, because it compliments my red undertones. It just looks like a healthy tan shade on my skin! With that being said, if you don't have medium to tan skin or red undertones, you may not like this shade! I've had this for years and I only started using it now! Next time MAC comes out with a bronzer in the Extra Dimension formula, check it out!

I've been enjoying these 2 bronzers!

That's it for my August Favorites! I told you that it wasn't going to be that many products! I feel like September I'll have a lot more products, since I'll be playing with a lot of makeup! I have so many looks that I want to create! I also have a lot of reviews to post! I been a little behind with that, so I do apologize for that! However, this month I'll have the Guerlain bronzer review up soon, along with the Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy, Smashbox Master Class Palette and the Mikasa Beauty 8 Brush Essential Kit reviews! I'll try to add more reviews if I can! I post a lot of product swatches and mini reviews on Instagram, so be sure to be following me on there @divyapatel_mua.
