June 2015 Haul (Makeup)

I tried not to buy a lot of makeup this month, but I swear there's always something that I need! I'm not going to include everything that I bought, because a lot of it was for my kit and I'm planning on doing a separate post for that in the future. So, I'll just be showing you what I got for myself! Everything in this haul is from Sephora, Colourpop, House of Lashes and Pharmaprix. So let's get into it!

A few of the goodies in this haul!

I'll start off with House of Lashes. I actually placed this order over a month ago and it only arrived a few days ago! I don't know why it took so long and I kind of got frustrated, but I'm glad that I finally received it! I've heard nothing but good things about House of Lashes, so I'm really excited to try these lashes on! I got the lashes in Femme Fatale ($7USD), Bambie ($9USD), Bombshell ($7USD), Au Naturale ($9USD) and Iconic ($12USD). If it's your first time ordering from their site, you can sign up and get 10% off your whole purchase! I think with shipping and the conversion, I spent like $56CAD. I'm most excited to try on the Iconic ones! They're absolutely gorgeous! Keep an eye out on my Instagram, because I'll be posting a lot of makeup looks soon with these lashes ( @divya_patelxo ).

I also ordered from Colourpop once again! I absolutely love their products! They're inexpensive, so why not? Since Colourpop turned 1, they were giving out a free limited edition eyeshadow, which is called Birthday Girl. That's honestly so thoughtful of Colourpop! They really know how to satisfy a customer and I just been in love with this brand! Birthday Girl has beautiful pink packaging and the shade is gorgeous! It's a somewhat muted medium dark brown with a lot of glitter. It leaves a metallic finish. I haven't tried it on yet, but I'm super excited! I also got 2 lippie pencils in Brink and Skimpy. Brink is a warm dark rose, that I still haven't tried on yet. However, I wore Skimpy several times and I'm obsessed! It's a warm nude beige with a hint of pink. I also purchased the eyeshadow in Lovely, which is a light gold with shimmer that leaves a metallic finish. I haven't played with it, but the swatch is gorgeous! Lastly, I got the highlighter in Wisp, which is my go to highlighter! For $8USD, it's AMAZING! I'm not going to go into detail about it, because I love it so much that it deserves it's own review! So stay tuned for that!

My Colourpop order

Next, I placed an order online on Sephora. Honestly guys, sign up for EBATES if you haven't already! The day that I ordered, it was 12% cashback! If you're planning on placing an order, just keep an eye out on the cashback, because it changes by the day! Anyways, I finally purchased the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. It's $44CAD, which is why I never purchased the full size and I already own several primers. I want to start uploading short videos and high quality pictures of my makeup, so I decided this primer would really help me achieve the looks that I want. I don't have bad breakouts anymore, but at times things just pop out of nowhere. I always thought this was the best primer I've ever used anyways, so I just purchased the full size! Next, I got the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. This is another high end product that I wanted for ages, but since it costs $46CAD, I was like no. However, Amrezy raves about this product, so I decided to give it a try! Her makeup always looks flawless, especially her under eyes and she uses this product for it. So, I basically convinced myself! I haven't played with it yet, because I also got this order only a few days ago, but I'm super excited to test it out and I'll keep you guys posted on it! I also purchased the Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner Pro Starter Kit. It comes with a 8oz Brush Cleaner and a Cleansing Tin. I heard nothing but amazing things about this product, so I'm excited to test it out! I like the Pro Starter Kit, because it comes with a tin. It's perfect for when you're travelling and you don't want to carry the whole bottle with you!

My purchases from Sephora

Lastly, I went into Pharmaprix and I picked up a few things. I got a backup of the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 25 medium. I love this concealer to highlight with and even just to conceal imperfections. I find it really similar to the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer. So definitely give it a try! Then, I purchased the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte 24 hour foundation. This was on sale, so I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to test it out! I actually wrote a review on it, so check it out http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/06/loreal-infallible-pro-matte-foundation.html . All I have to say is "Oh my god!". The last product that I purchased is the L'Oreal La Palette Nude 1. It basically looks like the Urban Decay Naked palettes! You have a mixture of both warm and cool tones. I only got to play with it once and so far so good, but I'll start playing with it more, so that I can give you guys my full thoughts on it. I'm curious to see if it's better than the Naked palettes!

My purchases from Pharmaprix

That's it for my haul. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post! If you've tried any of these products, let me know! I'll try my best to get a lot of posts up for you guys! I just been busy with so many projects that I can't wait to show you guys soon!

L'Oreal: Infallible Pro Matte Foundation Review

I feel like lately this foundation has been everywhere! The first time I heard about it was through Desi Perkins and I been curious since then. I was on a hunt for a really good drugstore foundation, because let's face it, who likes spending $50 on a foundation?! I can officially say that the hunt is over, because this foundation is just AMAZING! It's better than most high end foundations that I've used and it's my current go to foundation!

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation

First things first, the foundation comes in a black and clear tube. It's pretty light and super portable. I always get scared of foundations that come in a glass bottle, so I'm happy this one is just in a plastic tube. I also like how it's clear, because you can see the color of your shade. It comes with 30ml of product. I bought this when it was on sale, so I paid $14CAD, but normally I think it costs $20CAD (sorry I don't remember guys!). To some of you, the original price may seem like a lot for a drugstore foundation, but trust me the quality is worth every penny! You can purchase this at any drugstore that sells L'Oreal products.

Another look at the foundation

If you guys are curious, I got mine in the shade 107 Fresh Beige. It matches me perfectly! They have 12 shades in total, however they all have a yellow undertone to them.  I saw a lot of people complain that it's too yellow for them and personally, my shade has the right amount of yellow to it, so I love it for myself. With that being said, if you have pink undertones, then  none of the colors will suit you. Unless if you're fair, I believe the lightest shade has more beige/pink to it.

My shade 107 Fresh Beige

The back of the foundation actually has this cool chart that basically tells you what the foundation does. It has the finish, the duration, the coverage and texture. So if you know absolutely nothing about this foundation, you can get a rough idea of it.

The back of the tube

So now let's get into the details of this foundation. I've used this with and without a primer or setting spray to really see how it works. The texture of this foundation is liquid. I really like the consistency of it, because it blends into your skin really nicely! It feels really light on the face! It almost feels like you're not wearing a foundation, which is something I really like! In the beginning, I used my Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush to apply this foundation. It buffs into my skin nicely, however I do have to buff it for several minutes to make sure it blends and sets nicely. I find with this foundation, it's better to use a stippling or packing motion! The coverage and finish is better! Therefore, even though I love my Tarte brush, I find it easier to use the M427 brush by Morphe to stipple or pack the foundation on. In terms of coverage, it's definitely medium, however you can build it up to full coverage! The finish is matte! I don't know why on the tube it says demi matte, because I felt that it was very matte. It also says that it can last up to 24 hours and to be honest, I never keep my makeup on for that long, so I don't know. What I can tell you is that, I've had this foundation on for 16 hours and it still looked really nice throughout the day! I was really impressed!

Close up

As mentioned, I did use this foundation without a primer. I personally prefer it with a primer, so that the application is flawless and it stays on for longer. I highly recommend that you guys moisturize your skin (even if you have oily skin), so that your skin is hydrated and the foundation doesn't look flakey (this goes for any foundation)! I have combination skin, but more on the oily side and I really liked how it wears! If you have problematic skin and you don't use a primer, your pores or acne or so on, will peek through the foundation. You can of course build up the coverage, but as the day goes by, it will start to peek through! If you have just redness, then don't worry, this foundation will cover it! The areas that I get super oily is of course my t zone and forehead. I would say the 4th hour, I started getting a bit shinny, but not too much. Normally, when I don't prime my face or set it with a setting spray, like two hours in and I'm starting to get oily. This foundation has oil control technology, which is really nice, especially for the summer! However, as soon as you hit the 8th hour, you'll get oily. You just need to touch it up with setting powder and the good thing is, the foundation doesn't budge. It stays in place and it doesn't look like it's melting off your face! However, by the 10th hour, it was starting to fade away and I was just getting really oily, so I don't recommend you go over 9 hours without using a primer and setting spray!

Now, when you do apply a primer and setting spray, it makes a huge difference! First of all, you don't have to worry about your pimples peeking through. Next, the foundation blends in easily so you can do a buffing motion, but as mentioned, stick to stippling or packing motion (it's easier)! Next, the foundation stays on even longer! With 4 hours in, I didn't get oily, even on days that I was outside in the sun! Around the 8th hour, I got a tiny bit shinny near the nose area, but honestly I lightly dusted on setting powder and that's it! It just looked so amazing! It wasn't fading away and everything was in it's place! The 10th hour, my forehead and t-zone was a bit more oily, but again everything was in it's place! The foundation wasn't running down my face or anything. I was matte everywhere, but the t zone and forehead area. Then, the 12th hour, I felt it was the same. Nothing changed in the span of 2 hours. The t zone and forehead area was a little bit more oily, but it wasn't a huge deal. I went up to 16 hours and yes, I did have to dust on some setting powder in my oily areas, but the rest of my face was fine! I've used the L'oreal True Match Lumi and I remember around the 12th hour, I had to take it off, because it was moving around too much! However, with this foundation, it's only my oily areas that was shinny, but it didn't even look that bad! Therefore to sum it up, this foundation wears REALLY nicely throughout the day!

What it looks on me (no flash)

If you have combination skin, you'll love this foundation! It's worth giving it a try, especially since it's not expensive like the high end brands! If you have dry skin, my recommendation is to really make sure your skin is hydrated, because it can feel slightly dry, but it's not that bad! Like I said, I highly recommend everyone moisturize their skin regardless of their skin type to keep your skin healthy! If you have oily skin, this foundation will work for you! It's basically made for people with oily skin! It's oil control technology will help you stay matte! This doesn't mean that your t zone or forehead won't get oily, because it will! However, your foundation won't move around! You'll just need to touch up with a setting powder and that's it! Even for photography, this foundation is amazing, because it doesn't cause flashback!

I'm in love with this foundation and it's definitely something I will be repurchasing! If I had a top 3, this will definitely be in it! The fact that it's a drugstore foundation, makes it so affordable! So, give it a try and let me know your thoughts on it!

What's in my MAC Eyeshadow Palette?

Before this year, I didn't really own any MAC eyeshadows. I only had a eyeshadow quad from a limited edition collection! Therefore, I decided why not start a palette? We all know MAC eyeshadows are good quality and there's so many beautiful shades to choose from! So, I picked up the double sided custom palette with 2 inserts. This palette holds 30 eyeshadows in total. I know a lot of people like to save space, by not getting the inserts. However, I didn't buy all the eyeshadows at once, so I was scared that the eyeshadows would move around and break! It also looks neat with the inserts, so why not! The palette is a bit bulky and heavy, but it's a strong compact! You can toss this in your bag and it won't open on it's own! I believe the palette was $10-15CAD (I don't remember sorry!) and the inserts were $3-5CAD each.

My palette

The outside of the palette

What the double sided palette looks like with the inserts

In terms of  MAC eyeshadow shades and formulas, I really do like them! MAC has a huge variety of shades and finishes to choose from! The pigmentation on these are really nice! I noticed with some of the shades, they don't swatch well on your hand, but on the lid, they're really nice! They're not the smoothest eyeshadows I've played with, but they blend really nicely! If you prime your eyes properly, they can last up to 12 hours or even more! Normally in the pot, they're $19CAD a piece, but when you buy them just in a pan, it's $12CAD. Each eyeshadow comes with 1.3g of product. They can be used dry or wet (I prefer dry).

Gotta love my neutrals!

So for this post, I'll only be showing you one side of the palette (15 eyeshadows). I'm not sure when the other side will be complete, but in the future, I'll be posting about it! I started this palette either in January or February. I decided to just stick to my neutrals to get more use out of them. However, I promise you the other side will be with more fun colors! I have a mixture of both warm and cool tones! If you see a star (*) next to the name, it means that I highly recommend that shade! So ya, let's get into it!

Close up of the shades

(Starting from the top left going horizontally)

1) Ricepaper* : Light beige gold with shimmer. It has yellow undertones and a frost finish. It's a perfect brow bone highlight or for the inner corners of the eyes!

2)Grain*: Light beige with warm undertones. It also has icy shimmer and it's a satin finish. I like to use it on the lid or the inner corners of my eyes.

3)Naked Lunch: Light pink with a hint of peach in it. It has shimmer and leaves a frost finish. It's beautiful on the lid!

4)All that Glitters* : Champagne beige with gold pearl. It's a veluxe pearl. It's a perfect shade for the lid for any skin color!

5)Era*: Dark beige with a champagne sheen to it. It's a satin finish. You can pop it in the crease or on the lid.

Ricepaper, Grain, Naked Lunch, All that Glitters & Era with flash

Some notes on these eyeshadows:
-For some reason, Naked Lunch doesn't swatch properly, but when you apply it on the lid, it's really pigmented!
-Era can appear a different shade on different skin colors! The lighter you are, the darker the beige. The darker you are, the more neutral the beige. However, you still see the champagne sheen on any skin color!

6)Bamboo: Light-medium peach with beige undertones. It's a matte finish. I like to use it as my base color  or just on the lid.

7)Arena*: Soft gold peach with warm undertones. It's a satin. I love this color for the lid.

8)Expensive Pink*: Coral pink with a golden sheen (duochrome). It's a veluxe pearl. It's a beautiful shade on the lid for any skin color!

9)Amber Lights: Light-medium coppery brown with gold shimmer. It's a frost that leaves a metallic finish. It's a really nice shade on the lid.

10)Woodwinked*: Warm light-medium brown with gold undertones. It's a veluxe pearl  that leaves a metallic finish.  Another beautiful shade for the lid.

Bamboo, Arena, Expensive Pink, Amber Lights & Woodwinked with flash

Without flash

Some notes on these eyeshadows:
-The swatch of Bamboo barely looks visible, because it's a neutral shade for people with medium skin! However, it is pigmented! That's why I love this shade as my base, because it cancels out any discoloration on the lid.

11)Soft Brown*: Soft reddish peach brown with warm undertones. It's a matte. Perfect shade in the crease or as a transition.

12)Texture*: Medium  peachy brown with fine shimmer. It's a velvet. It's a gorgeous shade in the crease or even just on the lid!

13)Saddle*: Medium orange brown with warm undertones. It's a matte finish. It's beautiful in the crease!

14)Brown Script*:  Warm medium red toned brown. It's a matte finish. It's absolutely beautiful in the crease! It's especially a perfect shade to play with in the fall!

15)Embark: Dark cool brown with reddish undertones. It's a matte. You can use it in the crease or as a definer.

Soft Brown, Texture, Saddle, Brown Script & Embark with flash

Without flash

Side note:
-All these shades would look gorgeous on any skin color!

So that's it for my palette! I love customizing palettes, because you tend to use all the eyeshadows! For the price and quality, I do recommend you build your own palette at MAC! It doesn't have to be the big palette that I got, you can simply just get the one that holds 4 eyeshadows! So ya, what are some of your favorite MAC eyeshadows? Any suggestions to which colors I should get for the other side of my palette?

MAC: Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation Review

This year, MAC released the new Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation that really captured my attention! We're heading into summer and anything waterproof or long lasting is exactly what you need to keep your makeup on point! I already wrote a post on tricks and tips to keep your makeup on point during the summertime, so check it out if you haven't already http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/05/makeup-tips-for-summer.html .  There's a lot of mixed reviews about this product, so I decided to give you guys my opinion on it!

MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation

I'll start with the packaging. It comes in a black tube. You just twist the cap off and squeeze out the product. It's not big and bulky, which makes it easy to travel with. The bottom of the packaging is clear, so you can see the foundation color. It comes with 25 ml of product and costs $38.50CAD. MAC has 16 different shades for this foundation! If you're curious, I got the shade NC42, which matches me really nicely! I highly recommend you go to your local MAC store to choose your shade, because online they're pretty off! My shade looks a lot darker online than in person!

Another look

And another

My shade NC42

I love MAC, but in the past their foundations never worked for me! Like five years ago, I tried the regular Pro Longwear foundation and it broke me out badly (however my skin was more sensitive back then)! What drew me into this new foundation is the fact that it said it was waterproof. Therefore, I really wanted to try it out to see if it's true and if it will last on my face longer than the other foundations! This foundation also doesn't have SPF, which is something I wanted  for events and weddings! In case you didn't know, if a foundation has SPF, it normally causes flashback in pictures! If I'm outside in the sun, I prefer something that has a high SPF, so this isn't the best option, unless you put sunscreen under! Also, online it said that it could wear for 24 hours and it's budge proof, which also drew my attention.

I played with this foundation for over a month now. It feels so light on the skin, but has that medium to full coverage! It's not as thick as the Kat Von D lock it tattoo foundation, but the coverage is similar! You need very little of this product to cover your whole face! It also doesn't look cakey, which is something I really like! It has a satin finish, which looks natural! It also doesn't budge at all and it's actually waterproof! You can sweat and cry all you want, but this foundation will not move around! Also, it doesn't transfer onto your clothes, which is something I really like! However, even though it doesn't budge, you'll still get oily! I basically have combination skin (more on the oily side) and I still get oily like I normally do.  Also, this foundation oxidizes a bit! After a few minutes, it looked slightly darker, but it wasn't a huge difference!

What the foundation looks on me (no flash/no edits)

I wore this foundation to work several times. When I first applied it, I felt like the foundation just grabbed onto my skin. Not in a good way though. It felt really dry (I never used a foundation before that made me feel dry), so I can't imagine how this would feel on someone that has dry skin! On shifts that I worked 5 hours, I needed minimal touch ups. I just had to powder my t-zone and forehead, but it lasted throughout my shift, even if I was running around everywhere! There were several times that I had this foundation on for more than 10 hours and I had to do touch ups or else I looked like an oily mess! However, the foundation still lasted on my skin pretty well! It didn't fade away or looked like it was melting off my face. There was even this day that I had this foundation on for 16 hours and it still lasted on my face throughout the day (just my t zone and forehead I had to touch ups like usual)! I'm just really amazed that it doesn't budge! Whether you're 5 or 16 hours in with this foundation, it will stay on your face! Normally, even if I set my face with powder and setting spray, within 8-9 hours, my other foundations starts to move around a little. Therefore, my  recommendations are if you have combination skin, this would be a nice foundation for you. However, if you have oily skin, you will get oily, even if you use a primer or a setting spray/powder! It may not be worth it for you! If you have dry skin, this foundation won't work for you either! Even if you apply a moisturizer, it will still grab onto your skin and it'll make you feel dry.

In terms of application, I find my Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush worked perfectly! I love this foundation brush and I use it for all my foundations! I also find a damped Beauty Blender (the original pink one) also works nicely with this product! I just don't recommend you use a Duo Fiber brush! It's hard to work with this foundation in stippling motion. It will just leave a unnatural and cakey finish. Also, it' really easy to take off this foundation! You can use makeup wipes, cleansers, the makeup eraser or even just warm water!

That's it for this foundation! If you don't want to commit to a full size, just ask for a sample! I'm on the fence about this foundation. I don't think it's the best one in the market, but it's still a nice foundation! Like I said, if you have combination skin, it's worth giving it a try! Let me know your thoughts on this foundation or which foundation you love to wear during the summer!

May 2015 Haul (Makeup)

It's that time of the month again! It's going to look like I bought a lot (which I kinda did), but if you read my last haul post, then you know I was waiting for a few packages to arrive! I received my packages from Sephora and Morphe Brushes late, because they just had too many orders and processing took longer than usual! It's not a bad thing, because it gave me time to play with these products and I can give you guys a mini feedback! I'll just jump right into it!

Just a few of my purchases for this month

I'll start off with my Sephora package that I was supposed to get last month! These are products that  I ordered from the VIB sale online. I finally got the Smashbox Step By Step Contour Stick Trio! Everyone has been raving about these, so I had to get them! Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to use them! I don't even know how I forgot that I bought this, because it's been on my wishlist for months! It's just I keep my newer products in a bag, so that I don't mix them with my other products and it's just been sitting at the bottom of the bag! I will be using it tomorrow, so let me know if you want me to do a review on it! Next, I bought the MUFE Artist Shadows Palette in 1. This is a new eyeshadow palette that MUFE released this year! They have a colorful one and a all nude palette (the one I bought). I absolutely love this palette! MUFE in my opinion makes the best eyeshadows, so I just had to buy it! I did a review on it, so definitely go check it out http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/05/make-up-for-ever-artist-palette-volume.html . Next from MUFE, I bought the new Pro Bronze Fusion in 25I. This product comes in a few shades and you can get either matte or iridescent. I chose to get iridescent, since it's summer and I don't mind a little shimmer. I also own a million matte bronzers, so I wanted a change. It's gel based and it's not super pigmented or too sheer, it's right in between. It blends really nicely and it looks natural! So far, I really like it! The last product I ordered online was the Hourglass Ambient Lightning Palette. I been wanting this product for the longest time and let me say, it's amazing!!! I can't believe I waited so long! It comes with 3 highlighters that would suit any skin tone. It's pigmented and blends really nicely! It honestly just gives you such a natural highlight! It's perfect for any occasion! I'm telling you, it's worth every penny!

Sephora VIB Sale purchases (online)

I also placed a order online for just one product. I got the Givenchy Le Rouge Couture Edition. Like oh my god! The packaging of this is beautiful! It's all floral! The shade is 205 Fuchsia Irresistible. I honestly just purchased this lipstick for the packaging. I don't know why, but online it didn't say which shade this lipstick was in and when it arrived, I realized that I already owned this lipstick in the regular packaging. Luckily, I love this fuchsia and I'm glad that I have a back up! It's really pigmented and it doesn't bleed. It also glides on your lips like butter and if you don't eat or drink, it can last up to 10 hours. I recommend this lipstick!

Such a beauty

I also made a trip to my local Sephora in Fairview. I went in to buy a present for my friend, but I'm weak and walked out with things for myself as well (makeup addict problems!). I bought the Sephora brand eyelashes in Showstopper. I just really been into false lashes lately and I only own Ardell lashes, so I wanted to change it up a bit. I really like these lashes. They're long and so volumized! The band on this one is not as thick as the Ardell ones and they're just really nice in general! I love these for a night out! I also got the Duo Brush on Adhesive. I know I picked up a lash glue last month, but I didn't know Duo had a brush on glue! I find it so much easier than squeezing out the product from the tube, because at times a lot comes out and it gets messy! With this one, you have control over how much glue you need, so I really recommend this product! Next item was a splurge, but I heard nothing but good things about it! It's the YSL Volupte Tint in Oil and I picked it up in #4 I Rose You. I'm obsessed with this product! First of all, it smells so nice and it feels really nourishing on the lips!!! It doesn't feel sticky and I really like the color of this shade! If you have dry lips, I highly recommend it! It's worth every penny! I also finally picked up the Makeup Eraser! This has been in the market for awhile and it claims to remove makeup with just water! Let me say, it's true and I barely use my makeup wipes now! I'm really impressed by this product! I did a quick review of it, if you want to know more about it http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/05/makeup-eraser-original-makeup-eraser.html . Now the last product I picked up, is something I been searching for a long time! It's the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator in Indiscretion! Oh my god, I was so shocked to find this, because it's been sold out online for like weeks and weeks now! I told myself I didn't need it, but after seeing the swatches and reviews online, I just wanted it so badly, but it was sold out by that time! So when I saw it, I like grabbed it right away and it was no jokes, the last one that  they carried (it was meant to be)! I'm so happy to add this to my collection! It's a beautiful light bronze champagne highlight. You can't see too much of the pink, it's more of a warm soft rose gold. It's stunning and would suit any skin color! This product is still available at Nordstorm (online at least) and it's now available on the Laura Mercier website or if you get lucky, you may find it at your local Sephora! Another product that's worth every penny!

Sephora in store purchases

I forgot to include the Makeup Eraser in the picture, but it's just a hot pink cloth. You can click on the link above to see pictures of it!

That's it for Sephora. I also went to Pharmaprix (drugstore) and came across this product. It's the NeoStrata duo Microdermabrasion. It comes with Crystals and a Activator. You apply the Crystals first, let it sit for awhile and then you go over it with the Activator. It exfoliates superficial layers of the skin, enhances skin clarity and helps your skin look radiant! I only tried this once and let me say, I saw the results right away! My skin just looked healthier and radiant! I was shocked that it gave me instant results! I didn't experience any break out, but again I only used it once! I'll most likely do a review on this later on when I use it for a few weeks, so stay tuned! Then, I just got nail polishes. I got the Essie "Brides To Be", which is a beautiful light peachy/pink nude. Then I got Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in 105 "Bare It All" (light nude pink) and 481 "Breezy Blue" (light pastel blue). As you can see, I'm in my spring mode with these light pastel colors! I haven't tried these on yet, but I'm already familiar with the formula and I love both these brands! I already own a few different shades! I highly recommend them!

I also went into MAC. The new Wash & Dry collection came out, so I wanted to go in store to see the products. In the end, I only picked up the High-Light Powder in Freshen Up from this collection. I did a quick review on it, if you guys are interested in this product http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/05/mac-wash-dry-high-light-powder-hot-or.html . I wasn't too impressed with it. I find there's better highlighters, especially for the price! Then, I picked up the Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation in NC42. I won't go too much into this product, because I will be reviewing it, but so far so good! It's been my daily foundation! If you have oily skin, you'll love it! If you have dry skin, it may be too drying. Stay tuned for the review though! The last product that I got from MAC is the lip liner in Oak. I just been loving MAC lip liners to apply all over my lips! I especially been loving their nude liners, so I had to get another shade! Oak is just your perfect neutral brown! It's lighter than Stripdown and you can pair it up with any nude lipstick! If you have a nude lipstick that washes you out, this will be the perfect lip liner to put under your lipstick! I highly recommend this shade!

My MAC purchases

That's it for my in store purchases! The rest is all online. My second package that arrived late was from Morphe Brushes and I picked up several products! I picked up three eye brushes; M562 (tiny crease blender), M429 (duo fiber brush to blend the crease) and M560 (detail crease). I used all of them and I really like them! I didn't experience any shedding, they're easy to wash and the brushes do their tasks! I find Morphe Brushes are so similar to MAC and they're like half the price! The M429 was $5USD and the other two were $4USD! If I went to MAC, I'd be spending at least $25CAD, so definitely look into Morphe Brushes! Then, they finally restocked the LA Girl Pro Concealers! I been wanting these for the longest time, but they're not available anywhere in Montreal or I couldn't find another site to ship them here! Like you don't understand how happy I was when Morphe had all the shades available! For myself,  I got the shades Dark Cocoa (to contour) and Pure Beige (highlight). I'm obsessed with these! For $3USD, they're amazing! Since it's liquid, you do have to set these with powder, but they're long lasting and the applicator makes it easy to use! I highly recommend these! I got six other shades for my kit. Then, I purchased the new LA Splash liquid lipsticks in Innocent Vixen (peachy pink nude), Ghoulish (grey mauve brown) and Untamed (dark vampy red). I only tried on Ghoulish and so far so good! I only wore it once. If you don't eat or drink, it will last up to 10 hours without fading! If you drink or eat, it won't disappear on you completely, but you will see that certain areas need a touch up! It's really pigmented, so you only need one layer and it's comfortable to wear! I won't go too much into these, but stay tuned for a review on these! Lastly, I purchased the Morphe lashes in #110. I haven't wore these, but what I like about them, is that the band is thin! I'm excited to wear them!

Purchases from Morphe Brushes

Next, I purchased online from Younique. I mentioned it in my last haul that I'm a  presenter and my website is www.youniqueproducts.com/divyapatel , if you're ever interested in purchasing from Younique. I picked up the Rose Water that I been eyeing for awhile! I only used it twice, but so far so good! I find it hydrates my skin and makes my makeup last longer. I would say it does the same thing as MAC Fix Plus (my holy grail). It also leaves your skin smooth and makes the makeup application easier! I'll most likely review it later on. Next, I purchased the Splurge cream shadow in Dainty. I bought one last month and I really liked it for night time looks, so I  purchased another shade. However, I don't like Dainty on me. It's a mauve taupe brown with a lot of glitter in it. It came out more on the grey/mauve side than brown. It's still a beautiful color, but just not for me. I'll most likely just add it to my kit, since I do like the formula.

Younique purchases

Finally, my last order was from ColourpPop! I been wanting to try this brand for awhile, since I heard nothing but good things about it! Also, everything is under $10USD!!! Like, it's so cheap, that it's worth giving a try! Before I start, I just love the presentation of my package! With every purchase, they hand write you a little note/message with your name on it. I just found that so thoughtful, because I'm sure they get like hundreds and hundreds of orders per day! Anyways, I picked up the set by Kathleen Lights, which is called Where The Light Is. It came with 4 eyeshadows; two matte, one peralized and one metallic. I also got three individual eyeshadows in Ibiza (bright turquoise with a pearlized finish), Truth (neutral light beige with a satin finish) and Smash (medium brown with a satin finish). So far, I really like these! They're really pigmented and blend really nicely! The application is smooth. The only thing is, if you really want the color pay off (the best results), you have to pat these eyeshadows on with your fingers and if you have fake nails like me, it gets annoying. I just use a synthetic brush, but I have to build it up with a few layers. The colors are gorgeous and I can't wait to pick up more! The last product I purchased is the Lippie Stix in Lumiere. These are  $5USD just like the eyshadows and the color selection is really nice! Lumiere is that mauve pink that's been in! It reminds me of MAC's lip liner in Soar, but it's a bit darker. I love this color and it's a beautiful everyday color! I highly recommend you try ColourPop! Their products are so cheap with amazing quality!

ColourPop goodies

That's it for my haul! I feel like these hauls are getting bigger and bigger. I have a lot going on and a lot of projects that I been working on, so I doubt I'll purchase a lot of products in June. Like usual, if you want me to review any of these products, just leave me a message!
