November Makeup Haul 2015

Wow, November honestly flew by! Don't you agree?! I feel like I wrote last month's haul just yesterday! So this month, there was a lot of damage that was done! I splurged like crazy! I never go this crazy, but it was the Sephora VIB sale and it's my birthday month! I also received makeup from my friends as a gift, so ya. It's a pretty big haul! I'm going to try to keep it as short as possible! But ya, let's get into it!

A few goodies from this haul!

I'll start with my Morphe package that finally arrived! If you read my last haul, then you saw how I ranted about Morphe, because this package came in really late. However, it's in my hands now and that's all that matters! I placed this order mainly to repurchase the M427 duo fiber foundation brush. My old one got water in the handle, so the bristles sadly came undone, so I had to repurchase it! I absolutely love this brush to stipple in my foundation! It works really well and it just leaves a airbrush finish! I highly recommend this brush and it's not expensive at all! I also purchased 2 pairs of the Wispies lashes. These are again a repurchase! I've been obsessed with these! They're so natural and comfortable! I figured why not buy some for my kit! Lastly, I purchased the 35T eyeshadow palette! I mean the Morphe eyeshadow palettes have been everywhere lately! I just had to get one! Everyone raves about the 35O palette, but it's always sold out, so I decided to give the 35T palette a go. Let me say, I'm obsessed with this palette! I love everything about it! You have a mixture of shimmers, mattes, metallics and satins! You also have a large variety of neutrals, mauves, purples, taupes, golds and bronzes! This palette is perfect for any occasion and it's only $23USD!!! The formula of the eyeshadows are also really nice! If you're interested, I wrote a mini description of this palette in my top 5 favorite palettes! http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/11/my-top-5-favorite-eyeshadow-palettes.html

My Morphe goodies!

Next, I made a trip to MAC. I wasn't planning on buying anything from MAC, but this one day I had time to kill before an appointment, so I walked in and walked out with a few goodies. I honestly can't window shop for my life! I purchased the Colourdrenched Pigment from the holiday collection in the shade Night Thrill. So basically, this is a pressed pigment. Night Thrill is a light-medium gold with warm undertones. I've already used this and I'm like on the fence about it. It's a little patchy. When you swatch it on your hand, it's not as smooth as the MAC eyeshadows and it just looks patchy. Even on the lid, I have to apply several layers. I find the best way to make it work is to spray a synthetic eyeshadow brush with MAC Fix Plus and then pack it on. You can apply a neutral eyeshadow as a base, so that you don't have to worry about it looking too patchy on the lid! It also transfers into the crease, so watch out for that and it also has a bit of fallout! I honestly love the color, but I expected better! Then I purchased the regular eyeshadow in the shade Beauty Marked. I completely forgot to ask for it in the pan! I was just having a bad day and I wasn't there completely. When I got home, I'm like shoot. So, I'm debating to depot it or not, because I also lost the receipt so I can't exchange it. Anyways, Beauty Marked is a beautiful blackened burgundy with purple sparkle in it. It's a beautiful unique eyeshadow for the lid. I can't wait to try this on! Then, I purchased 2 matte lipsticks. I purchased Smoked Purple, which is a deep eggplant purple. I already wore this a few times and it's the perfect deep purple! It's currently my favorite purple lipstick and I highly recommend it! I also purchased Persistence, which is peachy cinnamon color. It's a nude, but more on the medium side. I still haven't tried this one on, but I have a feeling that I'm really going to like it!

Gotta love MAC!

I also went to Jean Coutu. They started selling Nyx products, so I wanted to go check it out! They were sold out of all the lip shades that I wanted from the Matte Lip Cream line, so I was disappointed about that. However, I picked up the Nyx Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray. I read good reviews about it, so we'll see. I still haven't used this product yet. I also got the Nyx Wonder Pencil in Medium. It's basically a concealer in a pencil form. I thought it would be useful to conceal my lips and brows with. I haven't used it yet.

Can't wait to try these!

I also placed a order on Anastasia Beverly Hills website. It was my first time ordering from their official site and let me say, it's the last time I'll order from their website! I just had the worst experience with them, so from now on, I'll just be getting ABH products from Sephora. If you're curious to see what happened, click on this link http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/11/anastasia-beverly-hills-rant.html . I received the liquid lipstick in Potion. It's a beautiful deepened purple that's perfect for the Fall! I still haven't used it, so I'll let you guys know what I think of it! I also purchased the Illuminator in Starlight. I've been dying to try their highlighters! I actually wanted all of them, but due to the problems, I only received one of them. Starlight is a beautiful light gold with warm undertones. I still haven't used it, but I have a good feeling about this one!

ABH products! The highlighter is gorgeous, right?!

So now, let's get into my Sephora VIB Sale purchases! I'm telling you, I bought a lot of stuff! The first thing that I got was Huda Beauty lashes in Sasha and Scarlett. These are really full! At first, they seemed like they were too much, but I fell in love with Scarlett! These are perfect for a full glam! I still haven't tried on Sasha yet, but I'm definitely excited! They are a bit expensive, so I didn't put mascara on them, so that they can last for a long time and because they're so full, you don't even need mascara to begin with! I also purchased 2 of the Moondust eyeshadows by Urban Decay. I got the shades Scorpio (matte black with 3D gold sparkle) and Ether (light purple with 3D blue/pink sparkle). I tried Ether on and I'm absolutely obsessed! It's a perfect shimmery lid color for the holidays and it really pops! I have nothing like these in my collection, so I'm excited to create looks for you guys!  If you guys want, I can definitely do a review on these! I also purchased the Burberry Holiday Palette in Gold (no.25). Since it's limited edition, it comes in this beautiful gold packaging, so I obviously had to pick it up! I still haven't used this palette, but I heard nothing but good things about Burberry eyeshadows, so I can't wait to play with this!

Gorgeous right?!

I also splurged on the Bobbi Brown University Lip Palette. I've read good reviews on it, so I decided to purchase it. The palette is a lot smaller than I had imagined and it also doesn't come with that much product (12.8g). However, the shades are so stunning! It's perfect for Fall and the holidays! I still haven't used it, but if you guys want a review on it, let me know!

I need to play with this!

I ended up repurchasing the Flora by Gucci travel spray. I already own the full size of this perfume, but these travel sprays are so handy when you're on the go! So when I ran out of mine, I immediately purchased it! This is probably my favorite perfume! It has a floral scent, but it's fresh. I'm really bad at describing scents, but definitely if you're looking for a perfume, try this one! I also repurchased the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. This is my holy grail! I believe this is my third bottle. It definitely does help your makeup stay on longer! Then, I purchased the Tarte Shine Bright Statement Lash Essentials. This came with a deluxe size of the Lights, Camera, Flashes mascara and a blinged out eyelash curler. I mean this eyelash curler is the bomb and I couldn't miss out on it! It's so stunning with the rhinestone handle! I actually needed a good eyelash curler, so when I saw this, I'm like yes, no questions asked. No doubt, Tarte has the best holiday packaging this year!

Love these products!

Next, I bought the Evian Mineral Water Spray. It's basically a spray that will moisturize, refresh and tone your skin. I've used it several times and I really do like it. Especially days that I don't wear makeup, I love to spray this on and it will keep my face moisturized. It also makes your face look refresh and healthy! Then, I got the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in  the shade 5.75. I did so much research and I thought this was the perfect shade for me, but no, it's a bit too light for me. I was going to exchange it for the shade 6.75, but then I got lazy. But, I have a feeling 6.75 would have been too dark. So, I'm just mixing this foundation with a darker shade in my collection. This foundation is really nice. It's luminous and it feels light. I'm not like "omg" about it, but I'll keep using it and let you guys know! It's a very expensive foundation, so I definitely wouldn't have bought it, if it weren't for the VIB sale. I also purchased the Sephora Sleeping Mask in Pearl. The Pearl mask brightens and perfects! I honestly love this mask and I saw instant results! It really brightened my face and just made it look healthy! They're only $5CAD, so give these a try! I know they're small, but I got 4 uses out of mine, which isn't bad! I also purchased the Makeup For Ever Brow Seal Transparent Eyebrow Gel. I've read really good reviews, so I decided to purchase it. I bought this for my kit. Next, I got the L'Occitane Nourishing Shea Butter Set. It comes with the hand cream and the Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream. I've used L'Occitane's hand cream before and it's amazing! It's lightly scented and it doesn't make your hands greasy! It's really nourishing and I highly recommend it! I used the body cream and I'm obsessed! My skin's been really dry lately and this does the work! It makes it look so healthy and it really feels nourishing. It also makes my skin really soft and it leaves this sheen to my skin. I feel like this product is going to be my holy grail! This set is a great value, because technically you're getting the hand cream for free!

I'm loving these products!

I also purchased the new Gwen Stefani and Urban Decay Palette! The packaging of this palette is so gorgeous and the eyeshadows are also really stunning! I love how there's a bunch of neutrals and pop out colors! I've been playing with this palette for a few days now and I do like it. I just don't find the eyeshadows are as long wearing as I would like them, but in terms of texture and pigmentation, they're amazing! I'm going to continue to play with it, so let me know if you guys want a review on it!

Isn't this so gorgeous?!

I also repurchased the Beauty Blender Blendercleanser Solid. I ran out of mine, so I definitely had to get it! This thing works like magic for your beauty blenders and brushes! It's expensive, but it gets the work done! I also purchased the Sephora Brush Conditioner. This basically prolongs the life of your makeup brushes. It also restores the softness to your brushes. I bought this mostly for my face brushes. Those are my most expensive brushes, so I definitely want them to last a long time. I've already used this on my Tarte Buffing Brush and it did make it super soft! So, I'm going to continue to test it out and see if it's worth it!

Gotta take care of my brushes!

So, that's all that I bought with my own money. Now, let's get into the makeup gifts that I've received for my birthday! I got a few gift cards that I'll probably use next month! So, I received the Anastasia Beverly Hill's Self-Made Palette! I've been wanting this palette ever since it came out, but I couldn't get my hands on it! So, I was completely shocked when I was gifted this! I can't wait to start playing with this palette! It's so gorgeous! Next, I received the Ben Nye Banana Powder! This is another goodie that I've been wanting for a long time! I'll definitely keep you guys posted on this product! Next, I got the MAC lip gloss in Oyster Girl. I've heard Amrezy rave about this lip gloss several times, so I'm glad that I finally have my hands on it! It's basically a light fresh pink with shimmer in it. I can't wait to try this on! Next, I got the MAC eyeshadow in Brown Down. It's basically a fudge brown. I actually needed this shade for my custom made palette! I also received the MAC pigment in Melon in the deluxe size. Melon is a golden peach. It's super gorgoeus! This actually comes with a lot of product! This is my first pigment, so we'll see how it goes! Next, I received the Sephora Rose and Ginseng masks! I've tried the Rose mask before and I absolutely loved it! So, I'm super happy that I got these! I'm honestly obsessed with masks! I also received the Sephora Lingzhi Eye Mask, which I can't wait to try out! I've heard really good things about it and you know I'll do anything to imrpove my under eyes!

I have such amazing friends right?

I also received the Tarte Stroke of Midnight Brush Set. You know how many times I walked by this set and I'm like I don't need it. Then, all of a sudden, I desperately needed this set! Obviously, it was sold out everywhere, so I was upset. When my friend gave me this, I was like "OMG"! This is such a great value! I actually don't own any of these brushes, besides the buffing brush, so I'm excited to play with these! I actually needed another buffing brush for my kit!

I love this set! Sorry I had a hard time taking a picture of this set for some reason!

Next, I received 2 goodies from Lush. I honestly love Lush's bath stuff! I only started using them since last year and I've been obsessed! Especially since I'm like done the semester, I'll have time to take baths! I got the Stardust bath bomb and Rose Jam Bubbleroon. I'm so excited to try these!

Stardust and Rose Jam

Lastly, I received this nail set! I actually don't have much nail stuff, besides nail polishes, so I'm excited to try this! It actually comes with everything! I'm curious to see how this works out! It's a super cute gitft!

All the nail essentials are here!

Alright, so that's it for my huge November haul! I hope you guys enjoyed this haul! There was a lot more stuff than the previous hauls! So, let me know what you guys purchased during the VIB sale! Also, if you guys want me to review any of these products, let me know! Hope you all have a great week!

My Top 5 Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes

Hey guys! I been keeping myself real busy so that I can get a lot of posts up for you guys! Christmas is just around the corner, so I wanted to write posts that will help you with your Christmas shopping! So, to start things off, I'm going to share with you guys, "My Top 5 Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes". I picked out palettes in my collection that weren't limited edition, so that you can go out and buy them! It was hard to come up with this list! I didn't know I had that many palettes! Like, it was a good thing that I didn't want to include limited edition palettes or else, I would be thinking about this for months! So ya, I hope you guys find this post useful!

Before reading my post, can you guess which ones are my favorite?!

5)Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette
If you guys read my Fall Must Haves (http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/10/fall-must-haves-makeup.html ), then this should be no surprise to you! This is absolutely a gorgeous neutral palette! It's definitely a palette that you can use everyday! They're all matte eyeshadows with a mixture of warm and cool undertones! This is perfect for a smokey eye or just a natural eye look! The pigmentation of these are amazing and they're buttery smooth! The consistency is also really nice and they blend like a dream! They're also pretty long wearing. If you prime your eyes properly, you can go 5-6 hours without having it fade away! I also haven't experienced any fallout with these eyeshadows!  I also love how this palette suits any skin color! It's just absolutely beautiful and I get use out of all the eyeshadows in this palette! If you love neutral eyeshadows, you'll definitely love this! This palette costs $55CAD.

4)Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
I only bought this palette last year and honestly, where have I been?! This is such an amazing palette, like I've been living under a huge rock! First of all, look at how cute the packaging is! It's a chocolate bar and it smells like chocolate (legit gives me chocolate cravings every time I use it!). This palette also has beautiful shades! You have a mixture of neutrals and your pop out colors! You can create infinite looks! You can have a natural eye or a dramatic one, like this palette suits every and any occasion! There's also a mixture of shimmer, matte, satin and glitter eyeshadows! The colors work well on any skin color! The formula of these eyeshadows are really nice! They're really pigmented and blend like a dream! I haven't experienced any fallout with these eyeshadows! I also love how the colors work well with each other! You can legit travel with only this eyeshadow palette and it'll be more than enough! These eyeshadows are long wearing! I would say if you prime your eyes, they will last for at least 8 hours without having to fade away! I absolutely love this palette! It's a old palette, but it has perfection written all over it! This palette costs $59CAD.

3)Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Volume 1-Nudes Palette
If you been reading my blog since day 1, then this palette should also be no surprise to you! I'm a huge fan of MUFE! They make some of the best products, especially when it comes to eyeshadows! I don't know how they make their eyeshadows, but their formula is hands down one of the best! They're SO pigmented and they glide on like butter! They also have no fallout! They also blend really nicely and have a nice consistency to them! They're also super long wearing! I can honestly go up to 12 hours or even more without having them fade away! Which is honestly amazing, but like usual, be sure to prime your eyes properly! You're probably wondering, if you love this palette so much, why isn't it #1? Well, the only thing with this palette is that, yes it's stunning, but you need to fish out another palette to use with this one! This palette has a mixture of satin, metallic,  iridescent and  diamond finishes. Which is amazing, but I love a matte crease and sadly, there are no mattes in this palette. It makes it hard to just use this palette! This is definitely a palette to use for an occasion. It's not a everyday palette at all, so ya! However, the shades are gorgeous! They're neutral shades that would suit any skin color! Like if you love metallics and shimmers, you will definitely love this palette! I always dig out this palette for occasions! It's absolutely stunning! This palette costs $49CAD. I also wrote a full review on this eyeshadow palette, if you want more details on it http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/05/make-up-for-ever-artist-palette-volume.html

2)Morphe Eyeshadow Palette in 35T
I only received this palette this month and I'm already obsessed! I've been using this palette all month! Everything about it is amazing! First of all, the formula is amazing! They're really pigmented and have a nice consistency to them! They also blend like a dream! If you prime your eyes properly, they stay on for at least 8 hours! I also haven't experienced any fallout with them! The only thing is, because I have hooded eyes, sometimes the shimmer transfers into my crease, but just a little bit! You have a large variety of neutrals, purples, mauves, golds, bronzes and taupes! They suit any skin color! There's a variety of shimmers, metallics, mattes and satins! You can create a daytime or a nighttime look, like this palette is very versatile! The one thing that blows my mind is that this palette only costs $23USD! Which is absolutely incredible, because you're getting 35 eyeshadows that are amazing quality! On top of that, the palette comes with 56.2g of product, so you get more than 1g per eyeshadow! Like you're getting a bang for your buck! It's so affordable and definitely worth it! The only thing that the 35T palette is missing is a matte black eyeshadow and a brow bone highlight or else I could literally just use this palette for every look possible! I know a lot of people obsess over the 35O palette, but this one is equally as stunning! I was scared that this palette would have way too many cool undertones, but there's a mixure and the cool tones are actually really nice and would compliment any skin color!

Morphe 35T Eyeshadow Palette

Now, we're getting into my favorite all time eyeshadow palette. Do you have any guesses?!

1)Tartelette Palette by Tarte
Not sure if you guys saw that coming! I know it's not a "wow or omg" palette! However, I've been using it almost every time that I do my makeup! I just been so obsess with it! This is honestly really rare for me, because I always use my customized palettes. I love how this palette has all matte eyeshadows, because I love a matte eye for a everyday basis! I also love how there's a mixture of cool undertones, warm undertones, neutrals and purples/mauves. There are a lot of beautiful transition and crease colors! The purple/mauve shades are perfect to add a bit of color to your natural look! There's only one eyeshadow in this palette that I haven't used, because it's grey and grey eyeshadows don't look flattering on me. Other than that, I get great use out of all the other shades! This palette also compliments any skin color! The formula on these are also amazing! They're super pigmented and buttery smooth! They also blend like a dream! They also work really well with each other and other eyeshadows! They're also long wearing, I would say if you prime your eyes properly, they can last up to 12 hours without fading away! They also have absolutely no fallout! This palette is also really travel friendly! It's not too big and it's durable! I just love to use this palette for everyday makeup! I love the shades in this palette and it's definitely worth every penny! Trust me this is one palette that you'll get great use out of! It costs $54CAD.

Tartelette

That's it for this post! I'm planning on doing something like this again, but for my favorite eyeshadow formulas. I can even do a top 5 favorite concealers, mascaras, foundations and so on. I think it'll be useful for those of you that are searching for good products that actually work! I know I don't have the biggest makeup collection out there, so there may be a lot of products that are good that I haven't had the chance to test out. So ya, let me know what your favorite eyeshadow palette is and what you highly recommend! Also, let me know if you guys want me to write about a topic in particular!

Peter Thomas Roth: Skinstant Mask Magic Review

I've been really into Peter Thomas Roth's products lately! I have a bunch of samples from his line, as well as this set of masks that I purchased last year during the holidays! I wanted to review this earlier when I first started my blog, but I felt like I didn't use the masks enough, so I always pushed it back. However, now I know exactly how I feel about these masks and the good thing is that this set is currently back in stock at Sephora! Perfect timing right?!

Peter Thomas Roth masks

Basically, this Peter Thomas Roth Skinstant Mask Magic set comes with 3 masks (they're not full sizes!); the Cucumber Gel Mask, the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask and the Rose Stem Cell. Each mask comes with 50 ml of product. This set is currently available at Sephora for $52CAD. It's a perfect way to test out these masks, because the full size of a Peter Thomas Roth mask costs $60CAD and more!

Another view of the masks

These are Peter Thomas Roth's 3 famous masks that detoxify, repair and polish the skin! My skin is somewhat sensitive. I used to have really sensitive skin when I was younger, but throughout the years, it got better! None of these masks have caused a reaction with my skin, so I'm happy! I had absolutely no breakouts! The ingredients in these masks are all natural, which is why I really wanted to try these! Each mask is very different from one another! This set was made to cover nearly all the skin concerns! I'll break these masks down for you:

1)Cucumber Gel Mask:
This is described as a Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator. It's supposed to refresh, cool, moisturize, hydrate and soothe dry irritated skin! It has extracts of cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, orange, lemon and so on. As you can see, a lot of nice natural ingredients, which is something that I love to look for in a mask! You apply this like a normal mask and you leave it on for 10 minutes. Then, you rinse it off with cool water. For a very cool treatment, you can even refrigerate this mask. You can use it any time between 2-3 times a week.

The Cucumber Gel Mask

The product itself

I personally love this mask! I do find it really hydrating and cooling! It just soothes your skin and leaves the skin super soft! I also find my skin looks a lot healthier and more alive when I use this mask! I also love how the scent isn't too strong and I love the gel texture! I even refrigerated this mask and oh my god, it just feels divine! Overall, I just love the cool feeling that it gives! It's perfect after a long day at work! I highly recommend it!

2)Pumpkin Enzyme Mask
This is described as a Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer. It's a intensive skin resurfacer treatment that exfoliates with pumpkin enzyme, peels with alpha hydroxy acid and polishes with aluminum oxide (it's a three in one). It reveals smoother, younger looking, radiant and revitalized skin. I apply this mask in circular motion for a few minutes. I like to massage it into my skin with a little pressure (not too much). Then, you leave this mask on for 10 minutes and then you rinse it off with cool water!

Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

The product itself

If you don't like the smell of pumpkin, you'll legit hate the smell of this mask! However, I love pumpkin, so it doesn't bother me at all and it goes with the whole Fall theme! I'm really scared to try face exfoliaters, because in the past I broke out. However, I've had no problem with this mask! It exfoliates my skin without breaking me out! It just leaves my skin a little red, but after 10 minutes, the redness is gone! It's very effective! When I first used it, I felt my face tingle, because it wasn't used to it. Now it's normal. I really love how this mask leaves my skin polished! It gets rid of the dead skin and it revitalizes my skin! Overall, I love this mask and highly recommend it!

3)Rose Stem Cell Mask
This is described as a bio repair gel. It cutting edge plant biotechnology isolates and replicates five perfect reparative rose stem cells. It helps reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It regenerates, rejuvenates, hydrates, brightens, firms and tones  the skin. You apply this like a regular mask and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then, you rinse it off with cool water.

Rose Stem Cell Mask

The product itself

I love roses, so I absolutely love the smell of this mask! It's honestly divine! However, I saw no difference with this mask. It does leave my skin a lot smoother and it does hydrate my skin! I also noticed that it brightened my skin a tiny little bit, but that's about it. I didn't find that it toned or firmed my skin. I saw really good reviews that it's a good mask to help counteract visible signs of aging and since I'm still young (well 23), maybe that's why I didn't see much of a difference. Maybe someone that's in their 30's or 40's will see a difference. I don't know, it just didn't work for me.

So ya, that's the break down on these masks. This set is a really good value and it's the perfect way to test out these masks. Each tub is enough for around 10-15 uses, so it's really not that bad! I highly recommend you guys check it out! There's so many other masks by Peter Thomas Roth that I want to test out, so if you guys have tried any of his other masks, let me know which ones you recommend!

Nars: Kabuki Ita Brush Review

Lately, I been getting a lot of questions about the Nars Ita brush, so I decided to just write a review on it! A year or 2 ago, this brush was completely sold out everywhere! No other brands had anything similar to it! Like this brush had high demand, which was why I purchased it! Everyone raved about it and everyone was writing a good review on this brush. Obviously it had to be that good, right?

The famous Nars Ita Brush

First things first, let's talk about the packaging of this brush. The handle is very unique. It's made out of hard rubber (if that makes sense). Like, it's very durable and you can't damage it easily! It also has this matte feel to it. The handle can get very dirty, so make sure that your hands are clean! The brush is not heavy and I like the grip. On the side of the brush, it has this treading to hold the actual brush itself, which is very unique! Overall, it looks and feels very luxurious! I purchased mine through Nordstorm (they ship to Montreal!), because it was completely sold out everywhere! I did pay around $75-80CAD for this brush, because Nordstorm does have higher prices for Canadians, due to the conversion. However, it is currently available at Sephora for $68CAD. As you can see, this brush is not cheap at all! It's the most expensive brush in my collection and I don't know what I was thinking then! I'm sure this is also available at any Nars counters!

Another look at it

The side of the brush (very different and unique)

I've had this brush for 2 years now and let me say, at times I forget I even have it! I have mixed feelings about it! First of all, it's because of the price! I mean, spending over $50 on a brush is way too much! Not only that, it's just not what I expected. The brush sheds like crazy! Morphe brushes are $10 and you don't see a single shedding with those brushes! This $80 brush sheds every time I use it! Which is a complete turn off for me! However, the bristles on this brush are soft. I also like how the brush is not too dense, so it makes blending so much easier! I also love the shape of it! It's flat and fits perfectly into that cheek bone area!

Perfect shape

If you're someone that has a hard time with contouring, you will love this brush! A few years ago, I never had the right contour brush, because you know how contouring wasn't that in then.  I did like this brush when I first used it! A monkey can honestly contour with this! It makes it that easy! This brush does the blending for you! You don't have to worry about any harsh lines! As I was using it more and more, the shedding just annoyed me. Then, I started purchasing other contour brushes and I'm like this Nars Ita brush is really not that special after all! There are even companies such as Tarte and Becca that have very similar brushes that you can purchase for cheaper! Even in general, there are hundreds of contouring brushes that work just as effectively as this one!

Ita brush

I'm not saying that I hate this brush, because I don't. I just like other brushes a lot more, especially when it comes to the price point! I find this was just so hyped about, because contouring brushes weren't available then. I find this brush is just ideal, if you're a beginner to makeup and have the money to splurge on it. If not, like I said, there's so many other alternatives out there! So ya, I hope I answered the questions that you guys had about this brush! It was nothing too long, because there's not much to say about it! If you guys have any other questions, let me know! I'm currently working on a few posts, so hopefully I'll have something up in a few days! Hope you guys are having an amazing week!

Sephora November 2015 VIB Sale

Hey guys! So, I'm just writing this mini post on the Sephora VIB sale that starts Friday! I got invited to the event tomorrow (only for VIB Rouges), but unfortunately I won't be able to go, because I have class until 9pm! I'm honestly so upset and I wish it was on Sunday or something like they did with the sale earlier this year! I know it's nothing super fancy, but I just always enjoy their events and would have loved to be apart of it! The event is great, you get to network with other beauty lovers and you get so many samples! It's perfect to try out products that you've always wondered about! They also serve you champagne and goodies, it's just really well put together! It makes you always want to stay a VIB Rouge! So ya, I'm just a little disappointed, but life goes on. However, if you can't attend the event tomorrow, VIB Rouges get 20% off their purchase in store and online through November 6th to November 9th! The code for online is ROUGE20 and in stores, you just have to present the email that Sephora sent you today! If you're just a VIB, then you also get 20% off your purchase, but between November 13th to November 16th! Same thing applies to VIB, it's both online and in store! The code is VIB20. Unfortunately, I don't know when everyone else gets the discount. It's for sure right after VIBs. I would assume the promotion would start November 20th until November 23rd! I think for regular Beauty Insiders, you get 15% off your total purchases. You can also shop online or in store! I would say your best bet is (if you're not a VIB Rouge or VIB) to go ask in your local Sephora when your promotion will be! That way you can prepare for it! If you guys want tips or recommendations, check out the post that I wrote earlier this year http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/04/sephora-april-vib-sale-2015.html .

My VIB Rouge invite

I wish I could have informed you guys earlier, but I legit haven't heard anything from this sale! It was on the down low for some reason! I only got my invite this Monday and I had to reserve it by today, which legit gave me no time! A lot of you may be wondering what's on my list, so here are a few things that I may purchase:
-Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray (I'm running out of mine!)
-Huda Beauty Lashes (I really want to try these out, I'm just not sure which ones exactly! Online only!)
-Burberry Complete Eye Palette (not sure which color! Online only!)
-Beauty Blender cleanser (I'm running out of this stuff too)
-Anastasia Beverly Hill's Self Made Palette

So ya, those are the main things on my list. I have a ton of makeup and I know I don't need anything, but it's my birthday month. You just got to treat yourself at times! I'm also debating between a few other things:
-Too Faced Natural Matte Eye Palette
-Bobbi Brown University Lip Palette
-Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
-Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow
-Nars Audacious Lipstick (I legit don't own any! Shocking I know!)
-Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Witches

So ya, those are the things on my list. I always change my mind, so god knows what I'll be purchasing! If you guys want any ideas or suggestions on what to purchase, feel free to stroll my blog. I wrote about so many amazing products! You can even read my hauls! So ya, happy shopping everyone! If you guys have any questions, just leave a comment down below! Also, my VIB Rouges let me know how tomorrow's event is! In the morning I'll actually be at Rockland mall (in Montreal) for the H&M and Balmain collab, so if any of you are going, let me know! :)

October Haul 2015 (Makeup)

Hey guys! Before I start, I just want to thank everyone that takes the time to read my blog! It's just like so amazing to see the numbers increase by the month! I really do enjoy being a blogger and it means so much to me when I get such amazing feedback from you guys! I know I've been lacking posts in October, but again, things are just so hard with school! I'm trying my best! I know the holidays are coming up, so I'm going to try to get as much as I can up! The Sephora VIB sale is quickly approaching us, so I'll let you guys know the details as soon as I find out! Typically, it's around November 5th or 6th I believe for VIB Rouge, but I'm not 100% sure.  Also, if you guys have Instagram, be sure to be following me at @divya_patelxo . I like to post quick things on there! I posted my easy Halloween makeup on there, if you're interested! It was a recreation of Chrissyp's gangster clown look! Anyways, this post is going to be a haul! Again, not too much damage was done, but I have a feeling my bank account isn't going to like November! It's my birthday month, so you know I'll be treating myself!

October Haul!

I placed a small order online at Sephora! I haven't walked into my local Sephora in so long! I just get a few things here and there online! The first product was a splurge and I couldn't resist! It's the new Kiss and Love Edition Rouge Pur Couture lipstick by YSL in the shade Le Nu (70). I still haven't tried this lipstick on, but I love my YSL lipsticks, so I shouldn't be disappointed! Also, the packaging is absolutely stunning! Le Nu is just your perfect peachy pink nude. It would look good on any skin color! Then, I purchased the small version of the Pores No More primer by Dr Brandt. My friend has issues with her pores and she highly recommended this to me. My pores aren't that big anymore, but I purchased this mostly for my kit. I normally use the Smashbox primer, but my friend also used that one and she likes the Dr Brandt one a lot better, so I decided to just give it a go! I used it on my bride a few weeks ago and it did make a huge difference! It's a tinted primer and it legit filled in all the pores!

Sephora goodies

My next order is from Morphe. So, I had a few issues with them. This order that I'll be showing you was placed around September 21st and I only received it 2 weeks after. I get at times that shipping can take long, but they sent me the wrong brush. I ordered the M427 brush, because mine broke and I needed it for my freelance kit! I got this duo fiber fan brush that I already own. So, I decided not to make it a big deal and I placed a small order again. I decided it would be faster to just do that instead of making a huge deal out of a $10 brush. My second order was placed October 7th and I still haven't got it. I think it's because I ordered the eyeshadow palette along with the brush (35T palette). A lot of people been complaining about the shipping and how Morphe cancelled their orders, because the palettes ran out. I just find it so ridiculous! I understand they're getting high volume of orders, but you still need to get your shit together! On top of it, no one answers the emails, which I find is disrespectful! I live in Canada, so I'm not calling you and paying long distance! So ya, Morphe ticked me off on that! It's just not the right time to place an order with them and I really do hope that I get my M427 brush this time! Sorry I just had to vent a little! So, I purchased 3 lashes from their Premium Morphe lash line. The first are the 217 lashes. They're nice and long! They also look super natural! I love these for a simple look! I also love how the band is thin on these, it really makes a difference when you have hooded eyes! They're super comfortable! I also got them in 213.  These are not as long as the 217 lashes. They look even more natural. I got these mostly for my bride, because she wanted something natural and not too dramatic. I used another set of lashes on her, but these are really nice for people that don't like dramatic lashes! You can even layer it with mascara and it won't be too dramatic! Lastly, I got the lashes in WSP. These are my absolute favorite natural looking lashes! They're long and full! They're not too dramatic and they just look really good! It suits any makeup look and you can pull these off everyday! I applied a thin layer of mascara on them and they just look so stunning! I highly recommend these! I also purchased the M492 brush. This is smaller than the M427 brush, so I like to use it to apply my concealer. It's a duo fiber brush that really helps buff out your foundation and concealer. I'm absolutely in love with it and highly recommend it! Next, I purchased the Velor Liquid Lipstick by Jefffree Star in the shade Posh Spice. Jeffree Star recently teamed up with Morphe. You can't find all his shades on Morphe, but most of them are there! I find his liquid lipsticks are the bomb! They're one of my favorite formulas! They're super long lasting and don't dry out your lips! He also carries a lot of unique shades and the packaging is so beautiful! He nailed it and I'm just so obsessed! Posh Spice is just that nude taupe that's been trending! It's cool toned with grey undertones. It's super wearable and would suit any skin color! I also repurchased the LA Pro Conceal in the shade Creamy Beige. I absolutely love this concealer! I own these concealers in so many shades and they're a essential for my makeup kit! I love to liquid highlight and contour with these concealers! I almost ran out of Creamy Beige, so I just got a back up of it! It's a nice shade for medium  skin with yellow and warm undertones! Lastly, I picked up the Morphe Gel Eyeliner in the shade Vino. This was on sale for only $2USD, so I was like yes please! Vino is a beautiful medium purple and it's so fall appropriate! I wanted to create that double wing liner look, meaning create a black wing and then above it apply a colored eyeliner. I'm sure you guys have been seeing it all over Instagram!

Morphe

I also placed a order with Younique. If you been reading my blog, then you may know that I'm actually a presenter for them, but I'm just not activate like the other ones! I probably will stop being a presenter soon, because I just don't have time for it and I find everyone is a presenter. However last holidays, everyone wanted to try these fiber lashes, so if you guys are interested, just message me (living in Montreal), because I'll be caring them soon! If you're not in Montreal, you can purchase it on my website. They made an error and kept my account suspended, but I will be reviewing a product from Younique soon, so stay tuned, because I'll post my link on there or just message me and I'll message it to you, when it's activated! I got the new Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes. It's the same concept as the original fiber lashes, but apparently this is a new improved version of it! I still haven't tested this out yet. I kind of wanted to finish my old ones, but I may just open it so that I can do a review and compare both of them! So, be on a look out for that! If you're wondering if it actually does work, it really does! I also purchased the Moodstruck Opulence lipstick in the shade Loaded. I'm really impressed with these lipsticks! They're super hydrating and glide on your lips like butter! They're not super long lasting, but they do last on your lips longer than most lipstick brands! The shade range is also really beautiful! Loaded is a medium dusty rose shade. It's a shade that would look stunning on any skin color! The finish of this shade is satin. If you guys are interested, like I said message me and I'll provide you guys the link soon!

Younique

Lastly, you guys probably seen this on my blog and Instagram, but I bought the Extra Dimension Skinfinishes from MAC in the shades Oh, Darling and Shaft of Gold. I got these off The Bay's website. I'm absolutely in love with them! I find these are the must haves in the Holiday MAC collection! They're just so stunning and if you guys are interested, here is the review on them http://makeupcheckbydivya.blogspot.ca/2015/10/mac-magic-of-night-highlighter-in-oh.html . I think now, both shades are sold out, but maybe your local MAC store may still have them! I would go ASAP!

I have a thing for highlighter!
