Bite Beauty: Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick Review

Hey guys, I'm bringing to you a review on a fun product today! Influenster sent me the Bite Beauty voxbox and you guys, I was just blown away by these new products! Again, Influenster is a company that sends you complimentary products to review! All you have to do is download their app and fill out a bunch of surveys. It's super easy and completely worth it! Like, this voxbox you guys came with 3 full size Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks and the Line and Define Lip Primer. That's a value of over $100CAD for free! That's completely insane! You guys don't understand how happy I am that I discovered Influenster! But of course, you don't always get full size products, sometimes you get the smaller sizes. It really depends on the campaign! Normally, I noticed that Bite Beauty is very generous! Even the last voxbox that I received came with many products! Bite Beauty is honestly one of my favorite brands at Sephora! They make some of the BEST lip products in the market! So, when I saw that they came out with these new Liquified Lipsticks, I was very intrigued! Let's just get into the review!

Bite Beauty!

Bite Beauty Voxbox!
Everything that came in the Bite Beauty Voxbox!

Now let's start off with the packaging as per usual. The product comes in the signature grey Bite Beauty box. The product itself comes in the rubber like grey packaging (just like most of their products), so it has Bite Beauty written on it and on the bottom you can see the shade. I thought that it was a very smart idea and it adds a nice touch to the product. You twist the top like a regular lip gloss and you have a really nice doe foot applicator. It's not too thick or thin, it's actually the perfect size! You can really define your lips with the applicator! It also picks up the right amount of product! Overall, the packaging is really nice and well thought out! It comes with 7.15g of product, which I personally think is a really nice amount! This product retails for $28CAD and it's already available at Sephora!

The end has the shade color

Bite Beauty has a really nice shade range for this product. There's about 20 shades. When there's too many shades, it can get overwhelming, so I think they did a good job at choosing the right basic colors. There's no unique colors, it's really your typical nudes, reds, pinks and purples. However, the tones that they picked out suits multiple skin tones and there's something for everyone! Influenster sent out the shades Demi Glaze (mauve brown), Flambe (bright orange red) and Eclair (soft rose). All 3 shades are very different from one another, which I really liked!

Swatches with flash (top to bottom: Eclair, Flambe and Demi Glaze)

Without flash

Let's talk about the formula. It applies creamy and transforms to a semi glaze finish. So, it's basically a satin finish. That means that it won't dry completely and will transfer! It's also supposed to feel moisturizing on the lips, since it's made with monoi butter and coconut oil! For those of you that don't know, Bite Beauty products are all made with natural ingredients! I would describe this product as a transition between a pigmented lip gloss and liquid lipstick.

Gotta love Bite's lip products!

Now let's talk about my experience with this product! These Liquified Lipsticks are very full coverage! You only need one swipe! They also feel moisturizing on the lips! They're very comfortable and not drying! It's also lightweight. Even though it doesn't dry completely, it doesn't budge or bleed. That's why you don't even need to line your lips with a lip liner! However, it does transfer. The texture is like a pigmented gloss, but it doesn't feel sticky! It also lasts a lot longer than your typical lip gloss. It doesn't settle into your lip lines or magnify them! I loved all the shades that I received! My personal favorite has to be Flambe. It's just so bold and perfect for the summertime!

Demi Glaze!

Flambe!

Eclair!

Overall, I love the formula and it's definitely a unique product! It gives you a break from liquid lipsticks! The formula is really nice and I just love the pigmentation! This is the perfect product for those of you that want a change from a matte lip. Again, so many beautiful shades to choose from! Bite Beauty did an amazing job with this product! I'll definitely be picking up more shades! What are your thoughts on this product? Will you be purchasing them?

Kat Von D: Eau de Parfum in Saint and Sinner Review

Hey guys, so I'm bringing to you a short review. As you can tell by the title, the review is on the new Kat Von D Eau de Parfum in Saint and Sinner. I've received deluxe sizes of these products from Influenster complimentary for reviewing purposes! I feel like this perfume has been everywhere! I'm actually really picky when it comes to perfumes. I get a headache really easily when the scent is too strong or I just don't like it. That's why I don't really use perfumes, unless if I'm going out. Even that I like "fresh" scents. That's the only thing that I can get away with! Therefore, I didn't know what to expect with this voxbox! So ya, if you're curious to see my thoughts on these perfumes, then just keep reading!

New Saint and Sinner Eau de Parfums!

On the postcard that we received with this voxbox, it said that these perfumes already existed before, but they just revamped the packaging. Kat Von D actually spent a long time sketching the packaging to make it perfect! The bottles that Influenster sent out are small and don't correspond to the actual packaging at all! The actual packaging is gorgeous and looks very luxurious! Saint has white packaging, while Sinner is black. It's very Kat Von D like. It has a gothic theme to it, but it's classy. There are 3 sizes for each perfume! The prices range from $30 to $115CAD and it's already available at Sephora!

The samples that Influenster sent!

Now, let's talk about these perfumes. So, we have one that's Saint and the other one is Sinner. Saint has a sweet scent. It's more of that dreamy, romantic and alluring kind of scent. On Sephora, it's described as a "classic floral". The keynotes are vanilla, musk and jasmine. Sinner on the other hand is the opposite. It's on the musky side. It's definitely dark, sultry and empowering. On Sephora, it's described as "warm and spicy". The keynotes are patchouli, wood and cinnamon. By these descriptions, you can see that Kat Von D wanted the 2 perfumes to be the complete opposite for different occasions. Saint is more of that every day kind of scent, whereas Sinner is that evening kind of perfume.

Saint

Sinner

Now that you have an idea of the scents, let's talk about my experience with it. I didn't like Saint. I'm not into sweet scents. It was just too much for me and it smelt weird on my body after 2 hours. It didn't give me a headache or anything, but it was too much for me. I don't mind a floral scent, but it has to be fresh. This was like those old classic strong floral scents that my mom would be into. It was just not my cup of tea! However, I ended up liking Sinner. I'm not into musky scents, but this one wasn't bad. It has a dash of spicy to it, so it's definitely more on the romantic side. It's not my absolute favorite, but I would love to wear it to big events. It's definitely that confident kind of scent that you would pair with one of your best outfits in your wardrobe! The scent also went well with my skin and it lasted a good 5 hours before it started to fade away. I find 2 spritz is more than enough, you don't want it to be too much either. If you love a bold musky scent, this is a good perfume to try!

A close up of Saint

A close up of Sinner

Overall, I do think that these fragrances are nice! I'm just not the biggest fan of sweet and musky scents, so this wasn't the best campaign for me. However, they're not horrible. As mentioned, I did end up liking Sinner. Will I purchase it? Probably not, but if you're into these scents, it's worth giving it a try! I find Kat Von D was very creative with these perfumes and I would like to see her expand her fragrance line! What do you guys think?

June Haul 2017 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so I think it's time that I post my really late June Haul! I know it's ridiculous how late this haul is! I've mentioned this in my previous few posts, but I've just been really busy! However, I didn't want my busy schedule to stop me from posting my Hauls and Favorites! I know that most of you look forward to it, so I'll always post them, even if they're a month late! For the month of June, I bought a few new things. It's not a lot, but it's bigger than my previous haul! I been eyeing a few things! I didn't have time to play with all the products, but I'm happy to have them. Some of these products have been on my list for awhile! So ya, let's just get into this haul!

My very late June Haul!

Of course, I purchased from Sephora like I always do every month! I picked up the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Aurora. I been eyeing this palette ever since it came out! It's just a fun kit that comes with 6 beautiful shades. It has fun colors like purple and blue to really change it up. It's definitely not a everyday kind of product, but it's for those days that you want to change it up and be unique! This is also a stunning palette for editorial makeup, so I'm glad that I purchased it!

ABH Glow Kit in Aurora

I also picked up the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio in Pool Party. The hype has been real about this product! I've read nothing, but good reviews, so I was like why not? I'm not a blush person, but Pool Party definitely has your every day kind of tones. I'm just not a fan of the middle sparkly pink shade, since it has chunks of glitter in it. I don't get much use out of that shade, but I really like the other 2! The formula is also really nice! I love how these blushes aren't overly pigmented, which makes it easy to achieve that natural look!

Pool Party! Such a beautiful blush palette!

I also picked up the new Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette in Golden Sands. I was debating on getting this palette, because as much as I love Huda, her products can be hyped up for no reason. For example, her eyeshadow palette, I just didn't like, but everyone was raving about it. So, it took me some time, but I gave in! I'm glad that I did, because this palette is everything! It comes with a cream base, pale gold powder highlighter, warm pink powder blush topper and powder bronzer topper. You do get a lot of product in this palette, which I'm really happy about! I don't use the blush and bronze shades often, but they're nice to have! Sometimes I mix it in with the pale gold highlighter to change up the tone and customize a new highlight shade! The formula is amazing! This palette does give you that blinding highlight! You need very little product to achieve that look! Sometimes I just wear the powder on it's own, because the cream base is really not necessary, since the powder highlighter is already super pigmented. This quickly became one of my favorite palettes! I even use it on my clients and they're obsessed with it! I also repurchased the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom palette. I dropped my palette in Cuba and most of the shades shattered! I was honestly devastated! The Tartelette in Bloom is my go to eyeshadow palette! I even carry it in my kit, so I just had to get a new one! I already spoke about it enough on my blog, so I won't get into detail about it! It' just the perfect neutral palette to have! You can create so many looks with it and the formula is absolutely amazing! It's definitely a part of my top 3 favorite eyeshadow palettes! Lastly from Sephora, I picked up the new Becca Liquid Crystal Lip Topper Glow Gloss in Rose Quartz x Seashell. This is a beautiful rose shade with a pink shift to it. Shimmery lip toppers are hot right now. I used to hate shimmery lip glosses, but now I'm really into them! Since these are pigmented, you can always wear it on it's own. I haven't really played with it yet, but the swatches seem promising! I also read really good reviews about it, so I'm excited to try it on!

More new goodies!

Moving along, I made a quick trip to Walmart. I picked up the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Crown of My Canopy. My local Walmart has done a good job at stocking up the makeup aisles! They just have so much more now! You guys know that I picked up Precious Petals the other month and I've been obsessed with it! So, I figured why not get more shades! Crown of My Canopy is a beautiful shimmery warm copper. I'm not really into copper shades for my skin tone, but this actually looks really nice! It gives you a change from your typical gold highlighters, so I'm happy that I picked it up! I also picked up the Wet n Wild Coloricon Lipliner in Willow Prele. These Lip Liners are really cheap, so I decided to give it a go. Willow Prele is a beautiful warm nude. This is a really nice nude base for any nude lipsticks. I do find that it suits light to medium skin better. I've only used it once and the formula is nice. It's not my absolute favorite, but I didn't use it enough, so if you would like me to review it, please let me know!

Some drugstore goodies!

Next, I placed a small order on Beautylish. I love shopping at Beautylish! Shipping is usually fast and you don't have to worry about paying customs at the door, since they take it at checkout! It's really convenient for Canadians and they have quite a few brands! They carry Jouer, which is a brand that I fell in love with this year! Jouer came out with their Skinny Dip Summer Collection, which I've been drooling over! I picked up the Powder Highlighter in Skinny Dip. It's a gorgeous golden peach with pink and copper pearl to it. It's super reflective, so it does give you that intense highlight. The formula is super smooth, it almost feels like a cream. It blends really nicely and it's super long wearing! I'm actually obsessed with this highlighter! I also picked up the Skinny Dip Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows Palette. I've heard nothing, but amazing things about this palette. It's a bit pricey, but Makeup by Lilit's review sold me on this palette! Her recommendations are always amazing and she's always honest about everything! I haven't used this palette yet, but I did swatch a few shades and wow! I'm beyond impressed! The pigmentation is just amazing and the eyeshadows are super shimmery! I also love the color scheme of this palette! They're just perfect for a smokey eye! I have a really good feeling about this palette!

Such beautiful products! Sorry it was extremely hard to take this picture, since the packaging is very reflective!

Lastly, Influenster sent me a Voxbox. I received the new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara! If you been following my blog for awhile, then you already know what Influenster is! They send you complimentary products for reviewing purposes! It's definitely a app that everyone should get, especially if you're a beauty addict, they have a lot of makeup brands that teamed up with them! I did already review this mascara here. Unfortunately, this product was a miss for me, but I did enjoy testing it out! I just didn't get the result that I was anticipating and it's ok, because you're not always going to like everything out there in the market!

The Revlon Voxbox

That concludes this very late haul! I hope that you guys enjoyed reading this post! Again, sorry for the delay! If there's anything that you would like me to review or talk about, just let me know down in the comments section! I hope that you guys are all having an amazing weekend!

Revlon: Mega Multiplier Mascara Review

Hey guys! I wanted to do this review for you, since I've been really inactive with my blog! For those of you that follow me on my social media accounts, you know that I've been busy, especially with freelancing, which is why I don't blog that much anymore. However, I try to dedicate every spare minute that I can to my blog! Influenster recently sent me the Revlon Voxbox, which included the new Mega Multiplier mascara for testing and reviewing purposes. Since it's a new product in the market, I really wanted to get this review up for you guys asap! If you been following my blog, then you already know what Influenster is! It's basically a company that sends you complimentary products to review! You have to download their app and fill out the surveys, so that they know what interests you! I get a lot of beauty products sent to me, since I love makeup, but they have fashion, food, electronics and so on! It's completely worth it and everyone should sign up! Especially if you're a beauty addict, there's so many brands that team up with them! I've discovered a lot of new products because of Influenster! So ya, let's talk about this new Revlon mascara. The Revlon Voxbox only includes this mascara and it's of course the full size.

The new Mega Multiplier Mascara by Revlon

Let's start off with the packaging. It comes in a  nice chic packaging. The top is blue with a glossy finish and the bottom is black with a matte finish to it. The mascara itself doesn't really have weight to it, however, it's durable and travel friendly! This product comes with 8.5ml of product, which is a bit more than your standard mascara. That's always nice to see! This mascara can retail anywhere from $9CAD to $13CAD depending on which drugstore you visit! I already saw it at my local Walmart, so this product did already launch!

I'm loving this packaging!

This is actually the first time that I used a Revlon mascara. I'm a huge fan of drugstore mascaras! I find that most brands are even better than the high end brands when it comes to mascaras, so I was really excited when I received this! Let's talk a little bit about what this mascara claims to do! It stats on the card that the "Innovative formula combines fibers and 360 tube technology in one step to plump and extend lashes". It's also a flake free and smudge proof wear.  It's also water resistant, but you can easily remove it with warm water! The Revolon Mega Lash Brush deposits the formula from lash line to the tip for that "Mega Lash" look. By Mega Lash, they mean that oversized lash look! Their brush is a cone shaped with three different bristle lengths, so that it coats every lash! Basically this mascara sounds very promising! It's supposed to give you beautiful full lashes with a nice formula that stays in tact throughout the day!

Another look at this mascara

Here is the mascara brush!

Let's get into my experience with this mascara. I already wore it about 8 times and my thoughts were the same each time. This mascara just doesn't "wow" me. It does lengthen your lashes, but not to the full extent. I've used other mascaras that made them even longer. This mascara definitely doesn't add volume to your lashes, which I just can't deal with. I see myself coating my lashes at least 5 times to get them to look good. Even when I curl my lashes, I'm just not happy with the results that this mascara gives. I also find that the brush doesn't do  much. You'd think since it has a cone shape with 3 different bristle lengths that it'll really get in there and lengthen your lashes, but it really doesn't. I also didn't like using the brush for my bottom lashes! It just didn't coat my lashes properly and it just got everywhere. In terms of formula, it's long wearing. I've gone 12 hours with this mascara on and it didn't smudge at all! It also doesn't flake off! It's also water resistant, which is always nice! It does come off easily with warm water! Some mascaras cause my eyes to tear up ( I think I'm allergic to a certain ingredient), but I haven't had that issue with this one! It feels comfortable on your lashes! It also doesn't have a strong chemical scent, so that's always nice!

The left side with mascara and the right side without

With both sides coated

A closer look at my lashes. This is with 3 coats on! Not impressed!

Another look at this mascara on. I'm just not sold on it.

Bottom line, I think that this mascara has a really nice formula, but the brush needs work! I just don't get that "Oversized Lash Look"! It literally does the minimal with my lashes and I don't enjoy coating them multiple times! This product is just a miss for me unfortunately, but maybe if Revlon changed up their brush, I would give it another go! So ya, that's my thoughts and experience with the Mega Multiplier! What do you guys think of this mascara? Have any of you tried it? I'll be uploading my late June Haul and Favorites soon, so stay tuned for that!

May Favorites 2017 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so I'm bringing to you another late Favorites! I know, I know! I just been horrible at keeping up with my blog. So much has been going on that I kind of fell behind, but as soon as things quiet down, trust me I'll come back stronger than ever! So, as mentioned in my previous Favorites, I'll be talking about a lot of products in my kit. I've done a lot of freelancing in the month of May, so a lot of these products are client favorites. That means if you're a freelance makeup artist and you need recommendations for your kit, this is your chance! I've got a few people asking me to do a "What's in my Freelance Kit", but that will be postponed, since my kit isn't 100% finish! As soon as it is, I'll definitely do it! So ya, let's just jump into this Favorites post!

It's going to be a long post!

I'm actually going to start off with my personal favorites of the month. They're not new products, but I just been obsessed with them, so why not talk about them again! The first is of course the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. When I went to Cuba, I bought this and my Tartelette in Bloom Palette. Unfortunately, I broke my Tartelette palette, so I only had my Sweet Peach palette. I did panic and all, but boy was I happy that I brought this palette with me! Again, if you love peachy tones, this palette is made for you! I do a lot of warm/ peachy looks, so this palette has everything that I need! You have your neutrals, but also, some pop of colors! I already spoke about this palette a million times, so I'll cut it short here. Honestly, this is the one palette that you need!

Still one of my favorite palettes!

Speaking of Cuba, the heat was real! I actually did put on foundation and stuff for the evening. I bought a few foundations with me, but my favorite combination was the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Foundation in the shade NC42 with the Make Up For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation in 107. I've reviewed the Nourishing Foundation here. I mentioned in this review that I was on the fence about this foundation, there was a few cons, but it did work really well with the MUFE Duo Mat. Since, it's waterproof, it didn't matter how much I was sweating, it stayed in place! I also liked how I didn't feel gross at the end of the day. Everything stayed in place and it was super comfortable! I was really shocked! I guess all this foundation needed was a powder to set it, so that it's longwearing and doesn't get oily. You can check out my review for more information! I won't talk about the MUFE Duo Mat, because I've mentioned it many times in my Favorites. It's a holy grail product! It's the best powder foundation out there! I even wear this on it's own and I'm satisfied with my look! It's full coverage, so it'll hide your pores and stuff! It really is a necessity for the summer!

Love these products together!

Lastly for my personal favorites, I've been loving the Buxom Waterproof Mascara. This is a product that I also keep in my kit. I've never really used it on myself, but since I was on vacation, I wanted to wear mascara when I went to the beach and stuff. I've used waterproof mascara where it would still run or fade away, however, I didn't have those issues with this one. This would last all day and it wouldn't run or flake off! The formula is super comfortable! I also love the wand! It really lengthens and separates your lashes! It's also more on the affordable side at Sephora, so if you been looking for a good waterproof mascara, this is it!

I really like this mascara! Another necessity for the summer!

Now, let's move onto some client favorites and must haves for your kit! I'm going to start off with highlighters. I have a few actually. I think that I've mentioned all these highlighters before, so I won't be going into detail with them! My most used highlighter of the month is the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee in Heat Wave. I been using this a lot on myself and my clients. Everyone just wants that gold highlight, so it's been getting great use. It's safe to say that this is one of my holy grails. This shade is the perfect gold that compliments multiple skin tones. It also has an amazing formula! It's rich in pigment and super long wearing! It gives you that wet metallic finish that I'm obsessed with (you can easily sheer it out if you like a subtle highlight). Honestly, this highlighter is everything! I also been getting great use out of the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator in Indiscretion. Indiscretion is a beautiful rose gold shade with gold shimmer. Again, it compliments multiple skin tones! The formula is also amazing! This one isn't as wet and metallic as Heat Wave, but you can definitely layer it to achieve that look! It's super smooth in texture! This wasn't as popular as Heat Wave with my clients, but a lot of them did love it! It's a really nice highlighter overall! The next highlighter palette should be no surprise, it's the Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Gurreiro Glow Kit. If my clients been wanting to try a product and I have it, I'll definitely use it on them, so that they see how it performs and if it's worth the purchase. I've gotten a lot of request for this palette and I don't blame them! You have 6 gorgeous unique shades! They're all different from one another. The formula is amazing, it's the best formula that I've seen in a Glow Kit by ABH! They leave that wet metallic finish that I die for! They're also long wearing and buttery smooth! They're super pigmented and blend like a dream! It's currently available on Sephora, so don't sleep on it, just get it! Like I said, it's the best Glow Kit formula up to date! Lastly, I wanted to mention the Estee Edit Glow Face + Eye Palette. Even though I love that opaque highlight, a lot of people don't. That's when this palette comes handy! The formula of this palette is incredible! The powders are buttery smooth and very finely milled! This palette gives you that glowing within look! It's subtle and just gives you that healthy glow! You can build it up for that opaque highlight! It's also super long wearing, you can easily go the full day without having it fade away! I get great use out of the shade 14k Glow! It's definitely many of my clients favorite as well! This palette comes in a set with the jewel tone eyeshadow palette and it's currently on sale for $49CAD! That's less than $25CAD per palette! It's honestly a steal and I highly recommend that you guys pick it up!

My top highlighters at the moment!

Moving along, these 2 products are my holy grail! I use it on every single client and every time that I do my makeup. The first product is MAC Fix Plus. I've mentioned this product several times. It's just a must have for any kit, because it has so many purposes! I love to use it before I apply a foundation to hydrate the skin! I also use it to set the makeup, so that everything blends well and the makeup looks fresh. It also gives a beautiful natural dewy look. I also use it to make eyeshadows pop by spraying my brush with it. Sometimes the metallic shades are not as opaque as I want them to be, so that's when Fix Plus comes in hand! The other product that 's also a part of my holy grail is the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. Again, I use it every time that I apply my makeup and when I do my clients! It truly does help the makeup last longer! In the beginning, I didn't believe in setting sprays, but  I started playing with it and being observant. I started to see a huge difference! This is one of the products that helps your makeup last 12 hours and more! The mist is microfine and has temperature control technology. You don't have to worry about your makeup cracking, fading away or settling into your fine lines! This stuff is expensive, but trust me, it's worth the investment! If you're a working freelance artist, honestly, both these products are a must have! You'll see right away how well the makeup sets!

Must haves!

Another holy grail product of mine is the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. Again, another product that I use on all my clients and every time that I do my makeup! This is the perfect powder to bake with and to set your foundation with! This powder is very finely milled and easy to work with! The Translucent shade has a vanilla tint to it, so that it doesn't look white on your face. It blends and sets your makeup perfectly! It doesn't leave your skin feeling dry or anything! It also doesn't cause flashback or that white caste in photography! My clients also love it and so many of them went out to buy it! It truly is game changing! This is another product that's worth the investment! It actually lasts you a long time, since it comes with a lot of product!

Best translucent setting powder out there!

The next product is also another holy grail. It's the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. This is the only thing that I use as a eye primer now. Before, I used to top it on a eye primer, but now I just use it on it's own and it does an amazing job! I've had mine for a really long time! The key is to only use a little bit of it! It can crease, if you use too much! Then, you have to use setting powder or a base eyeshadow, so that your eyeshadows can blend effortlessly! If you start to blend right away, it'll be difficult and your eyeshadow will appear patchy, since the Paint Pot has a tacky base! I've used so many eye primers before and trust me, nothing beats this!

The best thing to use as a eye primer!

Since we're on the topic of MAC, I wanted to mention the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer once again in my Favorites! This concealer is everything! It has a nice consistency to it! It blends out really nicely and it's super long wearing! It's good to conceal blemishes and your under eyes! MAC carries a wide range for these concealers! There's literally something for everyone! I have a mixture of different brands in my kit for concealers, but I slowly just want to carry the MAC ones! If you haven't found the right concealer, give this one a go! I also use the MAC Pro Longwear Foundations on my clients. At first I was hesitant about this foundation, but I know that a lot of makeup artists use it. So, I went out to buy one to play with. I actually fell in love with it! My clients also love it! It's just the perfect full coverage foundation. It's also really longwearing and there's so many shades to choose from! There's literally something for everyone! It's a super easy foundation to work with, since it blends really well!

You can't go wrong with MAC!

The other foundation in my kit is the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation. I mean everyone knows that it's my favorite foundation. In the beginning you invest a lot of money when you start freelancing. You're going to have to cut on something! Since this foundation works so well, I decided to put it in my kit. I purchased several shades and a lot of people also started to love it! You really can't go wrong with  it! It has the perfect medium coverage and it's longwearing! It blends really nicely and it's lightweight on your skin. You don't know how many people I recommended this foundation to! I just wish that it had a better shade range.

Still my favorite foundation to date!

My next favorite is the Kat Von D Shade+Light Contour Palette. If you follow me on my social media accounts, you know that I've been using my custom ABH Contour Palette for the longest time, but I do prefer the KVD one over it! The pans are a lot bigger in the KVD palette and I love the shade range. The shades are for every skin tone, which makes it ideal for a freelance artist! You don't have to buy multiple palettes or customize your own. The formula is also really nice! It's rich in pigment, so you don't need to use a lot of product! It blends effortlessly and it's super longwearing! It doesn't settle into any fine lines and it just gives you that smoothing effect! KVD now released a refillable version, so that you can refill the palette! It's $9CAD more, but I use it all the time, so it's going to be beneficial in the long run!

The shade range is everything! There's something for everyone!

Now let's get into eyeshadows. This month, I've been getting great use out of the Lorac Unzipped Gold Palette. I mean I've mentioned this palette several times, are you even surprised? Like I always say, this is the perfect bridal palette! At least 95% of my clients always end up choosing something from this palette! The color scheme is stunning! This palette has the perfect gold tones! I also love the matte  brown shades in here. They're the perfect crease colors! The formula is also amazing! These eyeshadows are super pigmented! I never need to wet my brush to make the shimmery shades pop ( that's very rare for me). They blend like a dream and they're very long wearing! This palette suits multiple skin tones! There's literally something for everyone! The pans are also a good size! I use it like crazy and I still haven't hit pan! If you're a freelance artist, trust me when I say that you need it! No neutral palette beats this one!

It may look like a typical neutral palette, but trust me it's not!

Everyone knows that I love to customize my palettes! I have a big Z Palette filled with Makeup Geek Eyeshadows, but since that palette is big, I like to pop in my favorite shades into a smaller Z Palette when I travel. I swear every time that I pull out this palette, I always get questions about it. I'm not going to list the exact shades, but there's a mixture of Makeup Geek and Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadows. Those are my absolute favorite eyeshadow formula! I always switch around the shades, but these are definitely the popular shades. As you can see, it's super neutral, but I get use out of all of them! Maybe, I'll do a separate post and list the shade names, what do you guys think of that? The formula for both brands are very similar. Everything is rich in texture and pigment. They all blend really nicely and they're long wearing! Both brands have a beautiful range to choose from! Makeup Geek is more on the affordable side, that's why most of these eyeshadows are from there.

I guess you can call this my "Life Palette"!

Another palette that I've been living and breathing for is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Palette. I've been obsessed with this palette ever since I purchased it! I just spoke about it in my May Haul, so I won't get too much into it (I also spoke about it in my Favorites before). There's just a shade for anyone and everyone! This palette is just so well thought out! I love how there's primary colors! The formula is amazing! It's really longwearing and pigmented! Even when I eat and drink, like it slightly fades away. My clients are all so impressed with it! Everyone gets really excited when I tell them that I can customize a shade to their preference! Again, if you're a freelance artist, trust me when I say that this palette is everything! My only complain is that the pans are small. I hit pan really easily (each pan is less than 1g of product).

I abused this palette!

We're finally slowly getting to the end, but I wanted to mention another mascara. I've been using the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara a whole lot this month! I wasn't a fan of it in the beginning, but this mascara is legit the best for your bottom lashes! The wand is thin, which makes it perfect to brush your bottom lashes! It really lengthens them! I also use it on my clients and they're very impressed with it! The formula is also nice! It doesn't run or smudge! I also like how it doesn't make your lashes clumpy!

Perfect for your bottom lashes!

We're finally at the end! I have 2 products left! They're boring products, but they're a essential for any working freelance artist! I've been loving the Sephora Dry Clean Instant Dry Brush Cleaner Spray. This stuff is a life saver! I think that I already mentioned it before, but it's basically perfect to use in between clients! It really cleans your brushes! Like, it removes everything in seconds! You also don't need to rinse! It's a dry brush cleaner, so you just swirl it in paper towel! It's so convenient! I spend not even 5 minutes cleaning my brushes now! It's really important as a artist to remain sanitary, so please if you don't clean your brushes in between clients, please start now! You'll see how fast and easy it is with this product! The last product that I wanted to mention is the Beauty So Clean Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist. Again, being sanitary is so important and this spray makes things so much easier! It's a light mist that sanitizes your makeup! You can even use it on powders and it won't get wet! It also doesn't leave your palettes with a strong scent, which is always a good thing! It's also on the affordable side and it's not in those huge bottles, so you can easily travel with it! It's perfect for those of you that like to double dip into cream/liquid products!

Must haves!

That's it for my May Favorites! I told you guys that it would be a long post! Again, I did a lot of freelancing, so it was good for me to see which products performed the best and that my clients liked! I listed many of my holy grail products. Of course, I have more and I'll do a "Holy Grail" post one day. Also, I have way more products in my kit! These are just some of the products that I've been using a lot in May! I know that I've mentioned a few of these products in my previous Favorites, but they're just products that I love and perform so well, like I can't help it. I actually already started my June Favorites, because I don't want to post that too late and I tried to use newer products. It's not going to be as long as this one, but I'll try to make it interesting! Anyways, I hope that this post was useful, especially for those of you that are starting to create a kit! I don't mind sharing my secrets and I'm always willing to help people, so if you ever have any questions, please feel free to email or message me! I hope that you all have a great week!

May Haul 2017 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so I'm bringing to you my May Haul. If you read my previous Haul and Favorites, you know that I've been very busy, so that's why I fell a little behind with my blog. I owe you guys a lot of reviews and I'm trying my best to get them up soon! But ya, let's talk about my May Haul. It's a really small haul. I spent quite a bit during the Sephora sale, so I was trying to budget myself. It's really not a lot of products, but I figured I'd do a haul regardless!

May Haul!

In Montreal, we have this big L'Oreal sale that happens a few times during the year. You do need a coupon to go to it. Sometimes it's a hassle getting those coupons, but it's totally worth it. Lineups are long and the best time to go is the first few days! Since I'm not that patient and I'm always at work, my friend picked up 3 Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Sprays (30ml) for me. I go through these like water! I use it every time that I do my makeup and my clients! I wish that the big sizes were available! These were $10CAD at the sale, which isn't bad. They're the perfect size for travel! I know that the other Urban Decay Sprays were also at the sale and they were full size for $20! So, if you ever get a coupon, I recommend that you check out the sale! Everyone told me that this time around, the sale was a lot better and there was more stuff!

Favorite Setting Spray!

Lastly, I picked up a few things from Sephora! I picked up the Anastasia Beverly Hills #12 Brush. I actually had this brush before, but I can't seem to find it. I think that I left it at one of my photoshoots. This is my favorite brush when it comes to brows, so I immediately had to get another one. It's the perfect size and shape! The bristles are firm, but soft, so you can easily create strokes of hair with brow product. It also has a really nice spooley at the end, so that you can brush out your brows. This brush is a must have! I also picked up the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Spandex. Spandex is a beautiful blue-black with iridescent glitter. I bought this for a photoshoot, but I didn't end up using it. However, it's a stunning wearable shade, so I know that eventually one of my clients will pick it!

I just needed these!

The last product that I purchased at Sephora is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Palette. This is of course a repurchase. At least 90% of of my clients end up choosing something from this palette. I hit pan on a few shades, so I figured that I would get a back up. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is definitely worth it! I've said this many times, but this palette is a dream come true for a working freelance artist! You literally can create infinite shades! The formula is also amazing! It's rich in texture and blends really well! It's also super long wearing! Like, you really can't go wrong with this palette! I just wish that each shade came with more product or you were able to refill it!

It feels good to have a brand new palette!

That's it for my haul. I think it's the smallest haul that I've ever done! It definitely went by quick, but my May Favorites is going to be a long post! I'll try my best to get some reviews up for you guys! I do talk about products on Instagram and Snapchat, so please follow me at at divyapatel_mua! I hope that you all have an amazing week!
