April Favorites 2017 (Makeup)

Hey guys, I'm bringing to you my very late April Favorites! If you read my haul, then you already know that I've been crazy busy with freelancing and events! I'm also going away on vacation, so I've just had a lot of things to do. For the month of April, I have quite a few new products that I've been loving! So, let's just get into it!

April Favorites!

The first product that I'm going to mention is no surprise. It's the new Benefit Cheek Parade Palette. I already own one of these Benefit palettes and I use it religiously. I decided to get the Cheek Parade, because it's such a good value! You get 5 full size products! It also comes with the new Hoola Lite bronzer and Galifornia blush. Hoola Lite is the perfect bronzer for people with Fair and Light skin. The Galifornia blush suits just about any skin tone! It also comes with the popular Hoola bronzer  (the original), Dandelion and Rockateur blush (one of my all time favorite blushes). Again, these suit multiple skin tones! It's the perfect palette for my freelance kit! I use it religiously on my clients! The formula of everything is also amazing! It's pigmented and super smooth! It's also long wearing and blends effortlessly! If you been debating about this palette, trust me, you need it!

I've been getting great use out of this palette!

Moving along, I've been getting great use out of my new Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette. I mean this is another staple! Everything about this palette is gorgeous! The color scheme is really nice! Again, another palette that suits multiple skin tones. You have your cool and warm tones. You also have your neutral shades, as well as a few berry and purple tones that are super wearable. The great thing about this palette is that most of it is matte shades, which makes it the perfect everyday palette, but it also has 4 metallic duochrome shades for that evening glam! It's very versatile and you can create infinite looks with it! The formula is also very nice. The eyeshadows are a bit firm, because they're made out of amazonian clay, but they're super pigmented! They also blend like a dream and they're long wearing! You can't go wrong with this palette!

Gorgeous palette!

Another new palette that I've been loving is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. I mean I knew I was going to love this palette ever since it came out, but I waited until the VIB sale to purchase it, because why not save a few dollars? I'm in love with peach tones and everything in this palette has a peach tone or compliments it. It even has some pop of colors that are super wearable and go well with a peachy look. I also love the matte shades in here! They're perfect for the crease! Again, with this palette you can create infinite looks! You can easily create a day or night look with it! There's also shimmer and satin shades in here! The eyeshadows are all pigmented and smooth. They also blend really nicely and they're long wearing! Again, this palette compliments multiple skin tones! This is another palette that you really can't go wrong with!

Do you see these shades?

Lately, I've really been into lip glosses. I just been wearing liquid lipsticks the whole winter, that I kind of wanted to try something different. Especially since it's officially spring/summer, I kind of been going for a glossy lip. One of my favorite is definitely the Jouer Lip Topper in Skinny Dip. If you don't own this, you're missing out! Skinny Dip is a beautiful shimmery golden nude. You can wear this on it's own, but it is meant to be used as a topper. I personally love to pair this with nude shades, so that the shimmer stands out. Since it's a gloss, it's not long wearing, but it's pigmented. It also glides onto your lips smoothly! It also doesn't feel sticky, which is something that I love! Jouer is known for their Lip Toppers, so definitely check it out!

One of my favorite Lip Glosses!

Another one of my favorite lip products of the month is the Kylie Lip Kit in Dolce K. This is legit the perfect nude for me! It goes with any look! Dolce K is a beautiful medium-dark beige nude. I already spoke about this product before! You can check out my review on it here. I love both the liquid lipstick and lip liner! I just wish that the liquid lipstick didn't have a smell, because mine smells weird! Other than that, it's definitely a go to! It's super pigmented and long wearing! It barely wears off when you eat or drink, which is always a plus!

Love this Lip Kit!

I'm also going to mention another old favorite, which is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. I mean I've mentioned this product at least a 100 times! It's just that highlighter that you always go back to! Opal is a beautiful champagne shade. The formula is absolutely amazing and it wears beautifully! If you love that opaque highlighted look, this product is definitely it! It's pigmented and super smooth! It also blends out really nicely, so if you don't like a opaque highlight, you can definitely sheer it out! It's also long wearing! I can easily go the whole day with this highlighter and it won't fade away! You definitely get your moneys worth with this product! I also been loving the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals. Precious Petals is a stunning champagne pink with gold undertones. It compliments many skin tones! It leaves that wet metallic finish, which I'm all about! However, since it blends like a dream, you can always sheer it out, if you're not into that opaque highlighted look! The texture of it is super smooth and it's long wearing! This highlighter honestly feels and performs like a high end product! If you find this at your local drugstore, trust me you need it in your life! I really do hope that Wet n Wild comes out with more shades for this line! It's only $6CAD, like you can't beat that!

Love these highlighters!

Lastly, I wanted to mention the Beauty Blender. I mean I feel like I don't talk about it that much, even though it's my holy grail product! I use both the Black and Pink ones! I love the Beauty Blender to blend out my concealer! No brush does an amazing job like the Beauty Blender! It just blends out my whole under eye area perfectly! The finish doesn't look cakey and it leaves a natural look, which I absolutely love!  I also use it to apply loose powder to bake and at times to apply my foundation! The good thing with the Beauty Blender is that you'll never have excess foundation on your face! It basically guarantees that your foundation is blended perfectly! It's just such a handy and easy tool to have! You do have to wash it after every use, but it doesn't bother me! Everyone needs one!

Excuse my stained Beauty Blenders! It's time to purchase new ones!

Other than that, the rest of the products that I've been enjoying are listed in my previous Favorites! So, be sure to go back to my old Favorites posts! Since, I've had a lot more clients in May, my May Favorites will have a ton of products! It'll be good for those of you that freelance, because you get a peek of which products are in my kit! So ya, stayed tuned for that! I hope you all have a great weekend!

April Haul 2017 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so I'm bringing to you my April Haul! I know that I've been mia, I just been busy with freelancing. I've been getting a lot more bookings and opportunities recently, so I'm just trying to capitalize on that! However, whenever I have a spare minute, I do focus on my blog! I'm also a lot more active on Instagram (divyapatel_mua), so be sure to be following me on there! In terms of my haul for April, it's quite big! The Sephora Vib sale was going on, so I picked up many things that I've had my eyes on! I also got a few things sent to me! So, let's just get into this haul!

April Haul

Let's start off with Sephora, since the majority of the things are from there! Before the sale, I came across the Bite Beauty Love Bite Lip Set. This retails for $45CAD! It comes with 2 Multisticks in the shades Gelato (cool toned pink) and Cashew (rose taupe). It also comes with the Rose Petal Creme Lip Gloss (metallic rose with green and violet shimmer) and a small mirror. I figured that I would purchase this set, since it was a good value (normally a Multistick retails for $28CAD) and I always wanted to try out their Multisticks. As usual, let me know if you would like to see a review on anything from this set! I can review the whole set as well!
Bite Beauty Love Bite Lip Set

Now moving onto what I purchased during the Vib sale! I picked up another one of the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadow. I absolutely love how easy these are to use! I'm also impressed with the color pay off and all, so I just had to get another one! I got the shade Kitten Karma, which is a gorgeous champagne with silver glitter! I also picked up the Touch in Sol Metallist Liquid Foil and Glitter Shadow Duo in Eldora. Eldora is a stunning bronzey gold. So, one side has the liquid foil and the other side has the foil. This stuff is super opaque and it leaves a beautiful metallic finish! I love the liquid side, but the foil side could have had a better applicator. It can kind of gets messy, so be cautious when you use it! However, the finish of it is to die for! The formula is really nice!

How stunning are these?

I also picked up the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. This was another item that was on my list for centuries! I mean just look at all these gorgeous peach tones! I don't find that any of the shades are that original, but it's nice to have these kind of tones in one palette. I'm actually obsessed with peach tones, so I do get great use out of it! I've used this palette several times and it's absolutely beautiful! The formula is really nice! The shades are all pigmented and long wearing! They also blend well! You can get a day and evening look with this palette, since it has a mixture of different finishes! If you been debating about this palette, honestly just get it!

I'm obsessed with this palette!

Another palette that I had on my list was the Benefit Cheek Parade! I mean the value of this palette is already a steal and then getting 15% off that! Like, I just couldn't pass up on it! This palette has 5 full sized products! It comes with 2 bronzers (including the new Hoola Lite) and 3 blushes (including the new Galifornia blush). I already have a similar Benefit face palette that I purchased a few years ago during the holidays. Hoola, Dandelion and Rockateur are also in that palette. I get really good use out of those shades! I use them on almost all my clients as well, so I figured it would be a useful purchase! Everything in the Cheek Parade is beautiful with an amazing formula, so I highly recommend this palette!

Another palette that I'm obsessed with! I've been getting great use out of this palette!

Moving along, I purchased a few skincare products! I wanted to pick up a back up of my favorite Glamglow masks, but I just wanted to try something new, since those masks are super pricey! I actually picked up 3 masks from Laneige. I was introduced to  Laneige by Influenster (they send you complimentary products to review) and I've been obsessed with that brand ever since! I picked up the Water Bank Gel Cream, which was the product that Influenster sent me complimentary for testing purposes. I've been obsessed with this moisturizer! It just melts into your skin, leaving it super soft and silky without having that  oily sticky feeling! My skin actually stays moisturized throughout the day! I just been so obsessed with this product that once I ran out, I just had to purchase it! I also picked up the Mini Pore Waterclay Mask. I still haven't used this product, but the reviews on Sephora were very promising! I always need products to help me clean out my pores, so I figured I would give it a go! I also picked up the Firming Sleeping Mask. Again, the reviews were very promising, so I had to pick it up! Also, anything firming instantly grabs my attention, so let's see how it goes!

I love this brand! They have amazing skincare products!

I also purchased the new Pat Mcgrath Labs Dark Star 006 in Ultraviolet Blue. I mean there should be no surprise! I'm a huge fan of Pat Mcgrath and her stuff is just incredible! Again, her stuff isn't really everyday kind of makeup, but it's perfect for editorial makeup or for anyone that wants to get creative! This kit came with the Eye Gloss in Cyber, Black Smudge Liner Eye Kohl, Blender Brush and 4 Pigments (in UltraViolet Blue, Astral White, Mercury and Dark Matter). I have yet to play with this kit. I did swatch them and everything is just beyond beautiful! The pigmentation and blendability is all there! I did use the Blender Brush and it's really nice! If you want to see a review on it, let me know!

Isn't this just stunning?!

Lastly from Sephora, I picked up a few things for my kit. As you know, wedding season has officially started, so I wanted to stock up as much as I can and why not, when you have a 15% discount? I picked up the Sephora Dry Clean Instant Dry Brush Cleaner Spray. If you been following my blog for awhile, then you know that I've been obsessed with the Makeup Forever one, however, it's a bit pricey. So, I wanted to give the Sephora one a go! Overall,  I love it! It gets the job done and it's super useful to have, especially if you're a freelance artist! However, it doesn't come with a lot of product, which is a bit annoying. I wish Sephora carried a bigger size of this, because it's legit a essential! I also picked up the small size of the Caviar Working Hair Spray. I haven't had the time to use this spray yet. I'm actually learning hair to add on to my services, so I wanted to test out this hairspray to see if it's good. If you guys have any suggestions for good hairsprays (that aren't sticky) to hold hair styles, please let me know down below in the comments section! Next, I picked up the Sephora Mini Color Switch by Vera Mona. This is basically a sponge that helps you remove the eyeshadow on your brushes, so that you don't have to switch brushes, when you want to change eyeshadow colors. I figured it would be really useful for blending brushes. I have a lot more clients this summer, so I really want to be efficient. I feel like this is going to be really handy! I also picked up the Sephora Retractable Brown Pencil in Soft Charcoal. I ran out of this shade in my kit, so I had to get it. I love this affordable Brow Pencil! It's very precise, so it makes filling in eyebrows so easy! It's also waterproof! It comes with a mini comb at the end, which isn't ideal, but the formula of the product is really good! If you want a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, this is it!

I needed a few things for my kit!

Moving along, I ordered from Tarte Cometics, because they were having a 30% sale. This was before the Sephora sale and I've been eyeing a few products! I wanted to get the Shape Tape Concealer, but unfortunately it wasn't eligible for the discount, so I ended up getting the Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation in Medium-Tan Sand. This shade matches me so well! I've mentioned this before on my blog, but I have red undertones to my skin, so it's really hard for me to find my perfect shade! In fact, barely any brands carry foundations with red undertones, so I always go for a foundation with a neutral, warm or yellow undertones. This one has a nice yellow undertone to it. It's also the perfect shade in between medium to tan, so it matched me really well! I've used it a few times and I do like this foundation. It's more on the medium coverage side, but you can definitely build it up. This is the perfect foundation for those days that you want that no makeup look. If you want me to go in depth and review it, let me know! I also picked up the Tarteist Pro Palette. I've had my eyes on this palette ever since it came out, but I just waited to buy it when it went on sale! It's everything that I expected! The eyeshadows are super pigmented and long wearing! They also blend like a dream! The color scheme is absolutely gorgeous! All the shades are super wearable! There's also 4 metallic shades, so you can definitely get that evening glam out of this palette! They also compliment any skin tone! It's just a beautiful palette to have! With the 30% off, it was a complete steal! Lastly, Tarte included a full size Lip Crayon in Squad (burgundy). At checkout, you're able to select a free sample and I'm surprised that the free sample was actually a full size Lip Crayon. I already own the shade Latergram and it wears beautifully! It's super pigmented and creamy on the lips!

Some Tarte goodies!

The complimentary Lip Crayon!

I also made a quick trip to Walmart. I went to pick up 2 packs of the Kiss Lashes in 03. These are the super natural looking ones. Most of my clients that have small lashes prefer these kind of lashes. They look super natural and they're light on the eyes. I actually like to put mascara on these, so that they stand out more. I also came across the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals. You guys I've been wanting this highlighter for centuries! I keep checking Walmart for it and my local Walmart doesn't have the best beauty selection. However, when I went last month, they were starting to get a lot more stuff and I'm so happy that they carry this highlighter now! They actually carry a lot more Wet n Wild products! Precious Petals is a stunning champagne pink with gold undertones. It's super pigmented and it's more on that opaque side. It leaves that wet metallic finish, which I personally love! The formula is also velvety smooth! It's just everything and if you come across it, BUY IT! It's the best drugstore highlighter that I've ever used!

Goodies from Walmart!

Now, let's get into the PR stuff! My Makeup Brush Set sent me their 12 Piece Oval Brush Set in Pink. They sent me a set last year as well. I actually posted a review on it here, in case you guys want to check that out. Overall, I do like these brushes and since I already have a set, I may do a giveaway with this, so be sure to be following my Instagram for that! I may be doing a Facebook Live with them, so also stay tuned for that!

Thank you My Makeup Brush Set!

Moving along, I got the Mieoko brush from the American Beauty Association. It's basically a flat foundation brush. I've used it several times and I do like it. It's not the best foundation brush that I've ever used, but it's nice. I actually didn't get this for free, I did pay like $8CAD for it, but it was a blogger special. If you're a blogger and they send you a email about it, make sure you read every little detail! I know a few people had issues with this company, so just double check what you're clicking!

The Mieoko Brush

Simple Glam Girls also sent me their Oval Brush Set. I got the Rose Gold set, which is absolutely beautiful! I haven't experienced any shedding with them and they're super soft! The set comes with 10 brushes! I used a few of the brushes and they're very nice! These are amazing for blending! I'm going to be doing a full review on these soon, however, if you want to purchase anything from this brand, use the code "Divya" to get 20% off! They carry many trending products, including the new unicorn brushes! Definitely check them out!

Aren't these gorgeous?

We're finally at the end now! The last product that I've received is the new Clarins Hydra Essential (smaller size) from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes! I mean I just love Influenster and if you don't have the app, you're missing out! I've already received a few products complimentary to review! I was excited to get this product, because I'm all about hydrating my skin! I still haven't used it, but I'll be testing it out soon and hopefully I can get the review up by the end of this month or early June!

Clarins Hydra Essential

That's it for my haul you guys! It was a pretty big haul! You know that the Sephora sale gets me every time! I hope that you guys enjoyed reading this haul! Again, I'm sorry for posting it so late! I'll try my best to be more active on my blog! My April Favorites should be up soon, so stay tuned for that!

L'Oreal: Infallible Pro Glow Foundation Review

Hey guys, I'm bringing to you a review on the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow foundation. If you follow me on Instagram or been keeping up with my blog, then you know that L'Oreal sent me a care package. There was several goodies in this package including this foundation. I actually LOVE this foundation and I even mentioned it in my "Best of Beauty 2016", so I figured I'd review it first! So ya, let's just get into this review!

Some of my favorite face products ever!

The packaging is similar to the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation. It comes in a tube like packaging. You just squeeze the product out. I actually like foundations like this! A lot of drugstore foundations don't come with a pump or a tube like this one, so it gets super messy! The really cute thing about this packaging is that this one comes with a glossy feel to it! The Pro Matte has that matte feel to it! I find this was a cute, but creative idea! You can definitely distinguish the two from your collection! The Pro Glow also has blue on it, whereas the Pro Matte has red (another way to distinguish the two).  This foundation also comes with SPF 15, which makes it very suitable for the summer! Since it has a low SPF, it doesn't cause flashback! It comes with 30ml of product and retails anywhere between $16-19CAD (the price varies depending on the drugstore!). You can find this at any local drugstores or stores that sell L'Oreal products.

A look at the packaging of this foundation!

The packaging is efficient!

I love these kind of packaging for foundations!

Compared to the Pro Matte foundation

L'Oreal sent me the shade Sun Beige 208, which is my shade (they asked me what my shade was)! This foundation matches me pretty well. It's not my exact shade, but it's a good match. For those of you wondering, I have medium-tan skin with red undertones. A lot of brands don't carry foundations with a red undertone, so I always end up getting something with a neutral or warm undertone (preferably warm). Sun Beige is basically a medium-tan beige with a more neutral undertone. It's a bit light, but I bronze up my skin anyways, so it works out. I own the shade Sun Beige in the Infallible Pro Matte and they're not the same at all! The Pro Matte Sun Beige is very warm compared to the Pro Glow Sun Beige. It's also a bit lighter and has a yellow undertone to it! Therefore, I suggest that you check out the shades in person! I bought the shade Sun Beige thinking it was like the Pro Matte one, but it worked out to suit me better than the other one! I know that in Canada  not all the shades are available, so keep in mind that it's easier to darken a lighter foundation shade than to lighten a darker shade! That's the advice that I give to everyone that can't find their perfect shade!

The swatch of the Pro Glow foundation in Sun Beige

A swatch comparison! The top is the Pro Glow and the bottom is the Pro Matte

Before I talk about how it wears and all, let's talk about what this foundation claims to do! It's supposed to have a radiant finish. It's supposed to wear for 24 hours and the coverage is medium. The texture is also air light. It's also supposed to feel hydrating on the skin! If you ask me, this foundation claims everything that I would want in a foundation! Now, let's talk about how it wore and my experience with it!

The back of the foundations! I also put the Pro Matte beside it, so that you guys can see the comparison!

Overall, I love this foundation! You guys already know that I love the Pro Matte, so this was no surprise to me! Even without primers and setting sprays, this foundation wears and applies really nicely! Of course, I do recommend that you prime your face and set your makeup for a longer better wear! The application process is just like any other foundation. You can use any foundation brush or sponge to apply it. The texture of it isn't thick nor is it watery, it's really in between. I find a duo fiber brush works best with it! It just blends into the skin so effortlessly! I also love to use my Beauty Blender with this foundation! It does a really good job as well! This foundation is for any skin type! It doesn't feel dry or oily. I wouldn't say that this foundation is hydrating, but it definitely is comfortable! It has medium coverage, but you can definitely build it up or sheer it out. The finish of this foundation is satin. It just leaves a nice radiant look without it looking too dewy. I actually really like that, because sometimes dewy foundations end up looking oily after a few hours. Since this foundation is more on the satin side, it doesn't look oily after a few hours of wear! You can always mix a liquid highlighter with this foundation for a more luminous and dewy look! It's also long wearing! I haven't had issues with this foundation creasing or fading away! It holds up really well (even without primers and setting sprays)! However, I would say by the 8th-9th hour, I do slightly start to get oily in my T zone. It requires very minimal touch up, so it's not a big deal! It also feels super light on the skin, almost like you're wearing no foundation! It also doesn't oxidize, which is a huge plus! It also doesn't cause flashback, even though it has a bit of SPF! That's a huge plus for me, because I can wear it to events and take pictures! The only con I would say with this foundation is that the shade range isn't the best. It was the same thing with the Pro Matte, there's not that many shades available. I think that L'Oreal should definitely add on shades!  This is such a popular foundation and I know a lot of people say it's their favorite, so it would be nice to see more shades! Other than that I have nothing bad to say!

What Sun Beige looks like on! (I did highlight, bronze, contour, conceal, etc)

Now, I know I'm going to get people asking me, "Which foundation do you prefer: The Pro Matte or  Pro Glow?". I love them both equally! I do find my shade for the Pro Glow matches me a lot better, so I  like to use that one on a daily basis or when I'm in a rush. However, I do prefer a matte foundation, because when I doll up, I always keep on my foundation for more than 6 hours. I find with the Pro Glow, my T zone starts to get a bit oily at the end of the day and I don't have that issue with my Pro Matte. Other than that, these foundations are super similar, but just have a different finish! I legit love both of them!

Another look at this foundation on!

L'Oreal did a fabulous job with this foundation! It's affordable, but wears like a high end foundation! This foundation has been my favorite for awhile and I know that I'll continue to love it for a long time! I've always had a hard time finding the right foundation, so that's why I'm so attached to this one! So ya, I hope that you guys enjoyed reading this review! If you want to check out my review on the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation, then click here! I hope that you all found this review useful and I can't wait to review the other products that L'Oreal sent me!

March Favorites 2017 (Makeup)

Hey guys, Happy April! I can't believe it's already April! This year is just zooming by! The weather in Montreal is slowly warming up, so it's starting to feel a lot like spring now! So, I have a mini March Favorites for you. If you read my March Haul, then you know that I've been really busy and I didn't get the chance to try out new/different products (my March Haul is here). However, my March Haul has a ton of new goodies, so be sure to check that out! Now, let's just get into my Favorites!

My March Favorites!

The first product that I'm going to mention is of course the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Guerrerio Glow Kit. I mean I've been living for this palette! The shades are truly stunning and different! It's not your typical champagne or gold shades, which is a nice change. However, what really won me over was the formula! I mean you're legit glowing for the gods with this formula! It's super smooth and pigmented! It leaves that beautiful wet metallic finish. The powders also blend out really nicely, so it does give you the option of wearing it as a  natural highlight. It's also really long wearing and doesn't fade away throughout the day! This palette is honestly everything! I've been getting great use out of it and a lot of my clients also been loving it. I know that I'm going to continue to use it for a very long time! Another ABH product that I've been obsessed with this month is the new Lip Palette. I mean this should be no surprise! This palette is legit a dream come true for any freelance artist! You can honestly mix and create infinite shades! The lip shades in this palette are different from one another! It also comes with primary shades, which is different, but yet so useful! You're able to darken, lighten and change the tone of any shade! It also comes with a mini palette for you to mix the shades on, as well as a lip brush! The formula itself is also incredible! It's super pigmented and long wearing! It also doesn't budge! The texture is also creamy, which makes it comfortable on the lips! I'm actually thinking of buying a back up, because I'm just so obsessed with it!

My new obsessions!

Moving along, I have 2 other highlighters that I've been getting great use out of. I've been using the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal on many of my clients recently. Every time that I use this highlighter, I just remember how much I truly love it! I mean this is a staple in everyone's collection! It just gives you a beautiful metallic champagne finish. I'm not going to discuss the formula too much, since I've mentioned this product several times in my Favorites before! It truly is a go to product for me! Even when I use it on my clients, like they all love it! It's worth every penny! The last highlighter that I wanted to mention is the Estee Lauder Illuminating Powder Gelee in Heat Wave. I'm seriously obsessed with this highlighter as well! I mentioned it in my previous Favorites, but I wanted to mention it again, because it came back in stock on The Bay's website! So, this is your chance to get it! It's honestly worth every penny! It's just a beautiful pale gold that leaves a stunning metallic finish! It blends really nicely, so you can wear it as a natural highlighter! It compliments multiple skin tones! I'm thinking about getting a back up honestly!

Everyone needs these in their collections!

Another product that I've been loving this month is the Nyx Face and Body Glitter in Crystal. My cousin picked this glitter for her makeup trial for her Sweet 16 and you guys, it's everything! I can't wait to show you guys the pictures! We put this glitter all over her lid and it was just so stunning! It's a beautiful holographic silver. It just shines really nicely, especially at night! The quality is really nice and they're so affordable! The packaging is also nice and it doesn't get messy. I was browsing through the Nyx website and I couldn't find it anymore! I hope that they didn't discontinue it! If you have any news on that, let me know, because I really wanted to pick up more shades!

Who doesn't love a holographic glitter?

That concludes my March Favorites. It was short and sweet. I hope that you guys enjoyed reading this post! I'll try my best to use newer products this month! Other than that, I have a few reviews that I would like to post soon! So, be sure to be subscribed to my blog or even follow me on Instagram at divyapatel_mua to get notified as soon as I have a new post up! Hope you guys have a great week!

March Haul 2017 (Makeup)

Hey guys, so I've been a little mia lately. I just been working a lot, so it gave me very little time to blog. I also been focusing more on my freelance stuff. I really want to build myself as a freelance artist, so I've been putting extra time into that, especially since summer is quickly approaching us. So ya, that's why I haven't posted anything in awhile and I do apologize for that! However, I have a interesting haul for you this month, so let's just get into it!

March Haul!

Let's start off with Sephora. I find that there was so many new launches in March! I've been checking the "New Arrivals" section almost everyday! There's a ton of stuff that I want, but obviously I had to limit myself! The first product that I purchased is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Palette. As soon as I saw that it was available on Sephora, I purchased it! I just love everything about this palette! I haven't played with it that much, but the concept of this is amazing! It comes with 18 shades, but most of the bottom row comes with primary shades. These are amazing to change the under tone of the shade. You can even use them to lighten or darken shades! They're very versatile! There's no other lip palette that I know that comes with this concept! It truly makes it a dream palette for any freelance makeup artist! I can literally just carry this Lip Palette and I'll have something for all my clients! It even comes with a palette to mix the shades on! The color scheme is also really nice! The shades are all different from one another! They did a really good job at picking the shades in this palette! It's very well thought out! It's definitely a must have in my opinion! It's limited edition, so if you been eyeing it, I suggest that you pick it up asap!

Love this palette!

Next, I picked up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit. Now, when I first saw the swatches of this, I wasn't really drawn to it, because they're not shades that I typically go for (I'm more of a gold girl). But, when I saw demos with this palette, I died! The colors look stunning on multiple skin tones and the finish of this palette is just "OMG". These highlighters leave that wet metallic finish, which I absolutely love! It's just opaque and beautiful! I just gave in and I'm glad that I did! The formula of this Glow Kit is definitely the best one that ABH released! It's super pigmented and buttery smooth! When you look at the pans, you can see that there's a lot of glitter, but the finish isn't glittery. It's also long wearing! The powders are finely milled! I just love this palette! It's nothing like the Glow Kit that ABH released during the holidays! This one is a million times better!

Such an amazing collaboration! Congrats ABH and Nicole!

I also purchased the Bite Beauty Prismatic Pearl Creme Lip Gloss in Champagne Pearl. Champagne Pearl is a beautiful and I mean beautiful metallic champagne with gold shimmer. This Lip Gloss is super pigmented and creamy. It glides on your lips like butter! It's definitely unique and it's not a everyday kind of gloss, but it's just so stunning! I'm just really blown away by the coverage of this! I can't wait to create artsy looks with it!

Can't wait to create looks with this!

Finally from Sephora, I picked up 2 Make Up For Ever Star Lit Powders in the shades #13 (light peach) and #19 (cobalt blue). I mean everyone has been raving about them, so I had to jump on the bandwagon! I picked up #13, because Jaclyn Hill wore it as a highlighter and it was absolutely stunning! She was glowing for the gods I swear! I picked up #19, because I just been into cobalt blue lately. I want to do more different looks with colors, so I figured that it would be a good stepping stone. I haven't tried these on yet, but they swatch beautifully! The shade #19 is more on the satin side, which I like since it's a bold color! The shade #13 is definitely that wet metallic opaque finish! I can't wait to play with these!

Look at these shades!

Moving along, I finally received my order from Klarity Kosmetics. This is one of those Instagram Indie brands! I've had a few people that requested that I try their products, since they look promising. They were having 50% off their whole website, so I was like why not? Now, I'm a little disappointed with them, because I purchased the 12 pan Eyeshadow Palette (I can't seem to find the palette or the name of it anywhere on their website or Instagram now) and I received it completely broken. Most of the eyeshadows were damaged, like there's 3 pans that are completely shattered! The packaging is also getting undone! It just looks like a complete nightmare! I've never received anything like that before. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and everything, so the question is: Did they send me a damaged palette on purpose? or Is the problem actually the formula? I sent them a email and all, but no response. A little rude if you ask me. A apology would have been nice. I also picked up the Kashmir Highlighter in Russian Roulette. This highlighter was perfectly fine and the packaging is nice! It also swatches really nicely, so hopefully it works out! Since this was a request, I'll be reviewing both products, even if my eyeshadow palette is completely ruined.

The packaging is really nice on both products! Just wait until you see the inside of the palette in my review!

MAC was having 25% off online and in store, so I took advantage of it! I didn't purchase that much to be honest, because I'm waiting to apply for my pro card. I picked up the Pro Longwear Concealer in NW35. I already own this shade, but I was running low, so I figured that I would get a back up! The new one that I purchased is slightly lighter than my old one, which is a bit weird, but I don't mind. I was applying NW35 to help cover my dark under eye circles and I was using a lighter concealer on top of it for that highlighted look. I still need to use a lighter shade on top, but this shade is definitely perfect for those very minimum bare looks! For those of you wondering, this is probably my favorite concealer! It gets the work done! It has the perfect coverage and it's super long wearing! I repurchased Fix Plus, because I almost finished my bottle. I love this stuff! I use it every single time that I do my makeup or my client's makeup! I use it to prep the skin before makeup application and once I'm done the makeup (if I want a dewy finish). I also use it to intensify my eyeshadows! This stuff is truly amazing and everyone needs it! Lastly from MAC, I picked up the Prep + Prime Skin Base. I've received many samples of this and I been loving it! It's good to even out redness and to add radiance to the skin! I really like the way that my foundation sets with this, so I finally purchased the full size!

Some of my favorite MAC products!

Moving along, I also purchased from Makeup Geek. I picked up only 4 eyeshadows in total. My cousin's sweet 16 is coming up and the theme color is purple, so I wanted to pick up some purple shades, since I'll be doing everyone's makeup. I have a few purple shades in palettes, but I wasn't impressed with the color payoff and all, so I decided to just get Makeup Geek Eyeshadows, since they have an amazing formula at an affordable price! I picked up 3 Foiled Eyeshadows in the shades Hype (medium amethyst purple), Daydreamer (light lilac) and Masquerade (medium warm purple). I love the Foiled Eyeshadows! They're super opaque and long wearing! These shades are perfect for the lid or even the lower lash line! I also picked up a matte eyeshadow in Neptune (bright medium blue). As mentioned, I just want to create more looks with colors and blue has just been my thing lately! I've mentioned Makeup Geek Eyeshadows a few times on my blog before! They're truly amazing and a must have for freelance artists!

If you haven't tried Makeup Geek Eyeshadows, you're missing out!

Lastly, I finally got the Kailijumei Lipsticks! These are the famous lipsticks from China that have the flower in the middle with the gold flakes. I mean I specifically bought this for collection purposes! I'm a total lip junkie and I just needed these! I picked up the shades Flame Red and Barbie Doll Powder in the Pixie Rose packaging. I mean these are just stunning! The packaging is equally stunning! It's very well presented! The lipstick itself is more of a lip balm. It's a sheer wash of pink. I've tried it on and it does feel nice on the lips, however, this is definitely more of a collection thing for me. I don't plan on using it that much, it's just gorgeous to display on my vanity!

Beyond and I mean beyond stunning!

That you guys is it for my haul! As mentioned, sorry for being mia. I just been so caught up with my work! I hope that you guys enjoyed this haul! I find that I picked up a lot of interesting products this month! My March Favorites will be up soon! It's going to be a short one, since I haven't had the chance to play with that much makeup! After that, I'll be reviewing a few L'Oreal products that I received and the Klarity Kosmetics stuff! Stay tuned for that!
